We are staying at POFQ in 2 weeks, and we want to take advantage of the fridge in our room. I am planning on bringing dry cereal and plastic bowls so that we can have a quick breakfast in the room before going to the parks. We are not renting a car, and are planning on using Disney TRansportation the whole week.

The problem is that I am not sure how to go about getting milk. My husband is lactose intolerant, and my son drinks about 1/2 litre per day. Does anyone have any suggestions on where/how we can easily get some milk? Would they have Lactaid milk and skim milk in the shop in our hotel? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

The food court will have the skim milk in small bottles that you could stock up on, I am not sure about the lactaid though as I have never looked for it. You would always call and ask them. If you wanted to have a grocery order done you would use garden grocer, they do have a minimum order amount though which i believe was around 50bucks. but if you got snacks and such too then it would be worth it to get them to deliver to you. We used them before and loved their service.

There are small bottles of soy milk for sale in the store. You may want to use garden grocer or wegoshop to deliver a biiger container to you.

We have used wegoshop.com 5 times now to deliver groceries to us. They do not have a minimum order amount, and in October Marge did tell us she would deliver mid-week without a 2nd delivery fee if we needed anything more. You can order whatever you need from one of several stores they will shop for you. So you definitely could order Lactaid.
The cost is the cost of the food order plus a $17 delivery fee, I believe. We felt we saved that over the cost of buying at the Disney gift shops.
We ordered juice, soda, water, coffee, beer, wine, breakfast foods, crackers and cheese, and snacks.
I would definitely recommend Marge and wegoshop.com
Have a Great Trip.

Can your hubby use the Lactaid tablets for the trip? DS uses the chewables right before he eats. They are convenient to keep in a pocket (well, not on Kali River Rapids, but for most of our touring).

That way you can just pick up the skim milk at the food court.

Hey fellow Beaner!

How did the delivery go for you with Wegoshop? I'm trying to figure out how to do this, since we plan to head out to HS as soon as we arrive at OKW. Our room will not be ready at 1pm, so off we go. But when should I have wegoshop deliver? Will they deliver even if we are not there?

Thanks! And sorry for hijacking the thread!

I will be ordering for our 4/16 stay at POFQ. We are ordering from Gardengrocer.com and they do have Lactaid milk. It's actually cheaper on the site then it is to buy here in MA. I have to have the lactose free milk too and i think Soy milk is gross. Someone mentioned the lactose pills. Has your DH tried them? They don't work for me so I stick with the Lactaid milk.

We've tried the Lactaid pills, but they don't seem to work as well. With the LActaid milk, there is no question - and getting a stomach ache on vacation is no fun, so we try to prevent it. I am thinking about ordering from gardengrocer, but we are arriving late (10:40pm) and aren't sure when to schedule the delivery. Does anyone know if the hotel will allow delivery to our room if we haven't checked in yet?

Well I'm glad to know I'm not the only one that they don't work for.
I would like to know too. I wonder if they deliver in a cooler?

I'm sure when they deliver, it's been refigerated. The question is whether or not the hotel will allow them to put it in the room before we've checked in. We probably won't get to the hotel until almost midnight, so I'm trying to figure out when to schedule it.

I'm not sure about POFQ, but when we stay at SSR, gardengrocer delivers grociers to bell services, which has a restaraunt-size refrigerator/freezer, and then bell services brings it to our room once we get one.
I love it and are using gardengrocer again in May!

We had the same experience. If the grocer will ask to have it refrigerated, it will be.
