I'm not sure if I'm posting this is the right place or not. I'm not sure if DVC Planning board is for trip planning or buying into DVC planning. Just incase it's for trip planning, can someone help me with the following?

Our family is taking it's first trip as DVC members 11/27-12/2 (whoo-hoo :cool1: ) and staying at BCV. Having not stayed in a villa since I was 11 yrs old (and not planning that trip anyway), I have questions regarding the groceries that I will be able to purchase at the markets at either BCV, BWV or even DTD if necessary. Is there anything on the list below that I COULD NOT get at the resorts (and does anyone know the approximate going price of the items listed)?

dozen eggs
shredded cheese
cheese slices
bread
milk (gallon)
lunch meat
lettuce
tomato
butter
12-pack of sodas
fresh fruits (grapes, bananas, apples, etc.)

Those are the only groceries that we will need to buy when we get there. The rest I will be bringing with me (non-perishables). We're flying, not driving and will not be renting a car.

My remaining question is, are the above items so over-priced that it'd still be worth paying the $30+ shipping fee from somewhere like Wegoshop.com?

Most of that should be available, except possibly the tomato and 12 pack of soda. They carry 2 litre bottles and 6 packs of cans, but I do not recall 12 packs. Limited choice in flavor, too.

I would liken the prices to that of convenience store or mini mart pricing at home. YOu pay more, but for the convenience. I even managed to grab some canned green beans last T'day at the OKW store, lol. Last minute...

You can certainly get some groceries at the resort stores and I have noticed different resorts have different selection, but you can also preorder from wegoshop.com or make a free 30 minute stop from the airport with some limo services. We usually opt for the free stop as I like to pick the brands etc. Have you thought about your transportation to and from the airport?

Wegoshop.com might be too expensive to justify using since those items listed above are all that I need and I doubt I'd save enough from using them to cover the cost of using them. I'm just not sure. I wish there was a pricelist somewhere. :confused3

As far as transportation goes, we're using magical express...at least for now. It will be me, DH, my parents, our 2.5yr old and 1yr old. With two kids that small (and I'm not bringing car seats) an extra stop along the way would be chaos (it's chaos just taking them to the store at home ;) ). Of course, I'm worried that ME isn't going to be much better.
