Groceries

As we will not have a car on this trip, is there anywhere near CBR where you can buy reasonably priced groceries.

You may want to hire a towncar to get to WDW from the airport and have them do a grocery stop. I think they do this for a 30 minute stop at no extra charge. Beyond that, many of the WDW resorts have a small and very limited selection of groceries in the resorts gift shops and there is "Goodings" right outside of DTD -- very pricey though. There is a wal-mart and a Publix not too far away from WDW but you would need to find a way to get there without a car since they're not within walking distance.

Scoootch, Thanks for the tip, but we have our airport transfer booked from the U.K. which will not stop for supplies.

There are a number of stores and services that will deliver right to your CBR room. The one I can think of off the top of my head is Goodings ; thru them you can order groceries on-line a few days before you leave home, and when you get your room at CBR, they will come and deliver them to your room (the resort will even keep cold things chilled if you are not there when they deliver). You pay a $10 delivery fee and there is some minimum charge as well ($50 I think) and everything is taken care of on a credit card. Lots of folks here will complain about Goodings prices being higher, but coming from the UK, they will seem cheap. And $10 for the convenience of having them delivered will save you the $25 cab fare to the market and back. It will also save you time, leaving you more time on your vacation to be spent vacationing.
Just be sure to stock up on stuff that is expensive in the Parks, like breakfast foods, bottled water...

I have also seen a company in Orlando that deliveries groceries to you at your hotel. You fax or email your order to them with a date and time of delivery and they delivery it with in 15 minutes of your order time. The company is WeGoShop.com
