What do you do about stocking up .....FAX ahead for groceries or get the limo to stop at the store on your way to the BCV from the airport ?:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc Just 2 more weeks !!

First let me say that we usually have our own car when we are at WDW, however, I have seen many posts that say their limo driver will take them to get groceries. Where are you thinking of faxing your order ahead to? If it's the resort...I probably wouldn't because I'm sure the prices are marked up and you won't get as much for your money.

There is a brand new Publix supermarket right off SR535 (from I-4) that is really nice and clean and has reasonable prices. The Publix is in the back of the Prime Outlet mall and Mary Queen of the Universe Shrine off on SR535. I'm sure your limo driver will know exactly where it is. Hope this helps.

some people use the DVC grocery list (availability on the member site

other use
netgrocery.com ????(spelling)

I would use the grocery stop - you have to make plans for this before you arrival - so call the limo services and make sure that they will do it - otherwise cancel and go with another limo services. Orlando grocery store prices are very reasonable - even better than what I get at home for lots of stuff.

there are several Publix close to WDW. Also Winnie-Dixie and a couple of other grocery stores.

I'd use the limo stop as well. Disney's prices for most grocery items are totally ridiculous and you will do much better at Publix or Winn Dixie.

We've been using Tiffany Towncar and the driver has been taking us to the Kash n' Karry south of the airport, just off of 417. He even let's us use his store discount card. We rented a car last trip and went directly to the resort and then later we went over to the Winn Dixie on 535. It's just a couple of miles from BCV/BWV.

We always rent a car and go grocery shopping on our first day. Lately we have been going to the new Winn-Dixie on Apopka-Vineland just north of DTD and Crossroads..

We have used Rabbitz limo service in the past and he always include a 30 minute grocery stop. We have also shipped stuff down from home (non-perishables) prior to arriving.

Keep in mind if shipping groceries down ahead of time that certain resorts (BCV?) have been known to charge a handling and storage fee for boxes shipped prior to arrival.

Has anyone actually used the grocery list and shopping svc DVC offers?

As for stopping on the way to WDW, we used Tiffany Town Car on our last visit (mid-July to GF/pre-DCV purchase) and our driver was GREAT! We only purchased water and the fit was pretty tight in the trunk w/our luggage & grocery bags. I cannot imagine how a week's worth of groceries could fit too!!

To the moderators ect.

Just a thought would it be worth it to have a perment msg at the top of the board listing the various shopping locations for groceries. It would save the search. Just a thought.

Has anyone tried the SuperTarget off 417? I always see it and think about stopping there. I love our Super Target out here.

I'm using Fl. Tours next Saturday and requested a grocery stop.

I used the grocery list option at the BVW one year. The first problem I encountered was faxing the list. I had to fax it 3 times before someone finally acknowledged it's receipt. Secondly, there were no groceries in our 1BR when we finally got into the room. The list never made it to the store!!! I called my order in and they graciously delivered it as soon as possible. But the prices.......they are so outrageous that I swore I'd never do that again! Almost $6.00 for a six pack of Coke!!!

The store is good for small things or something that you could run out of like Milk etc. But for a weeks worth of stuff; no way.

I have no idea what store the limo driver will stop at but I hear they go to the ones where the prices are the best and the lines the shortest! :)
