I'd love to know what people recommend for grocery delivery service at BLT? Also, will the front desk hold the delivery, if we're not there? Thank you!

Bell services will hold a grocery delivery for you. Don't go to the front desk. Some delivery service will not release an order to bell service uf the order contains alcohol. You must be present and show ID for those deliveries.

I've had a lot of luck with Amazon Prime Now. If you are an amazon prime member it's a pretty inexpensive option with quality groceries from either Whole Foods or an Amazon partner. You just have to keep in mind that if you order items from both whole foods & Amazon, it's really two separate orders. That part is confusing.

I've had good like with Amazon Prime Now, as well. Remember, it is a separate app from Amazon, but, like all the Disney/Hulu websites, it uses the same password and your Amazon info. A lot of people also recommend Instacart.

I also have heard great things about DizzyDolphin. I planned to use them on my next trip.

I have had great experiences with Amazon Prime Now, Instacart (ordered from Publix) and Garden Grocer.

Apparently Prime Now has merged with the regular Amazon App and Fresh. so you can order from Fresh or Whole Foods.

I used a grocery delivery person on the Ear For Each Other FB page (they feature CMs who are furloughed or released from Disney who have a started their own small businesses for income). she told me where she prefers to shop (Target or Walmart) including the location so I was able to order online & she dropped everything off at bell services. Her fee was $25 flat fee. She was great at communication BUT my only problem was any questions she had were sent to me while we were flying in to MCO, so I didn't receive them until we landed & after she already picked everything up. Lessons learned would be to let her know of any acceptable substitutions in advance. I did not order alcohol which seems to be an issue for bell services to accept & info was discussed on the Disboards Thread "Resort Grocery Delivery". She has currently suspended delivering which I assume means she got called back to DCL but there are other former CMs that offer grocery delivery as well.

I use Instacart. They buy everything at Publix and you even get sale prices. They have always texted me if something I ordered is out of stock and recommended options.

I have used GG in the past, but want to use Instacart on my trip in 3 weeks, because of better variety and pricing. How far in advance can you place order? Also, when I recently looked into it and put in address for Rivera, it only recognized the street not number address of the property. I want ensure I have the right delivery address. Thanks.😎👍🏻

You can order about a week out.

Dizzy Dolphin is who we use and they are great. They are easy to work with and you do not need to be present to get your groceries if you have alchol. They are locals and DVC members as well. Highly recommend them...ºoº

True....but the closer to your arrival that you place your order, you risk having preferred delivery time slots already booked. PS.....we LOVE Garden Grocer and use them all the time.

I had a terrible time with Amazon in May. From the Resort Grocery Delivery FAQ (https://www.disboards.com/threads/resort-grocery-delivery-faq.3693570/):

Ugh. I ordered from Amazon Fresh for a 4-6 pm delivery. Before 4:00, I got a notice that my groceries were on the way and that they would be here at RIV between 3:55 - 4:55. I clicked on it and it said that my delivery was next and showed the driver up north of Sand Lake Road. Then, she sat there for nearly 30 minutes. Then, she started heading my way but decided to make some stops on her own. She’s made 2 other stops and is now now southwest of me in Kissimmee at Orange Blossom Trail and 192. I gave no idea what the heck is going on. I tipped her 50% more than the recommended amount and I had an extra $5 in my pocket for her because it was going to be here within the first hour. She’s not getting it now!

I used Whole Foods the last time and it was seamless. This, not so much. I wonder what the heck is going on.

edited, she’s finally here squeaking under the 6:00 pm initial window, but still an hour late.
