2 Weeks til our trip :goodvibes and I'm trying to figure out if we should order groceries to be delivered from Garden Grocery to our cabin or just buy from the store in the Fort. We really only need breakfast food. Does anyone have the going price on a gallon of milk, OJ and eggs at the Fort store?
Thanks.

I don't know the specifics, but it is SPENDY at the Fort store. If you have a car, make a run to the local grocery (Publix). Otheriwse, I would do Garden Grocer.

The prices on grocery items at the Fort can be 1/3 to 1/2 (or more) higher than outside grocery stores. Garden Grocer is pricier than Publix or Wal-Mart & you have a delivery fee. If all you need are the items stated, just get them at the Fort. Yes, it'll cost more - but your time is very valuable when you're at Disney. And with all due respect, what's a few more bucks when you are paying what you are for accommodations? Now, if you needed breakfast, lunch, and dinner items - like you would do at home - Garden Grocer would be your best option. But for the basic items, shop at Meadow(s) Trading Post.

You might want to consider Winn Dixie only 3-4 miles away.

Works well for us. Google map for location. :thumbsup2

Garden Grocer was great for us.
We took an airplane, and figured that the GG delivery fee was less than the cost of checking one bag of non-perishables. We did not have a rental car, so local groceries were not a good option.
The food was waiting for us in the cabin -- milk in the fridge & ice cream in the freezer. Everything in my order was correct. Even the fruit was ripe.
I ordered cereal (my kids equate vacations with those little boxes of sugary cereal), milk, water (tap water had a funny taste), sandwich stuff, one pasta dinner, and lots of snacks to carrying around the parks. I was afraid of ordering too much, but we ran out of a few things in the middle of the week, so I did have to stop at the Fort stores. Expensive, and hard to carry everything on the bus. Also, while I don't mind some light cooking on vacation, grocery shopping seems like a chore.
Have fun in the cabin. We had a wonderful time and can't wait to go back.
Me, DH, and four kids, ages 10,7,4,1.

Thanks everyone for the help. We won't have a car so unfortunatly driving to a real store won't work. We were thinking of flying down some non-perishables but are going to need milk and juice available for the toddler. 13 days to go. :goodvibes

I thought milk was a perty fair price considering beer at the Meadows is around 25$ a 12Pk. But if you dont have a ride Garden Grocer may be the best bet.
