we are staying at desert inn and suites. and since we are canadian we cannot have our groceries delivered to the hotel. can you tell me the closest grocery store to this hotel? since my dh has to take a cab. would also like this grocery store to have wine and beer available for purchase...

What does being Canadian have anything to do with it. I ordered groceries from Alberta for over a year, for a US address. Go on their website and try there. Feel free to pm me and I can help you as well

well, i tried to order and it says my mailing address is canadian and they don't accept that. i called and they said my credit card address is a canadian address and they don't accept that. i tried putting in the address to our hotel and it said the address on the credit card is different than that on the order form. how did you do it? i am sure others want to know how you did it as i know i am not the only one who had problems.

maybe they're getting smarter. For our trip 2 yrs ago, we used the hotel address as the delivery and billing address with vons.com, then gave them our cdn visa number. No one caught the fact that the billing address and cc address did not match. But maybe they are smarter now. Not sure how you can get around it if they have. If you find a way, let me know - I wanna do it too!

I registered for Vons and just put the hotel address. I am canadian and they sent me a confirmation and a code for the first delivery free?????

I can maybe shed SOME light on this. FINALLY I can answer a DL question instead of asking 10k of them!

We live in Alaska and have Carrs/Safeway. We went to Portland, OR and had groceries delivered over spring break. Called their 1800# and they said you put the hotel's address with "Guest checking in on this day".

BUT-- we did have an issue because they called me the morning of saying my card was declined. There was absolutely nothing on that card. Called the card company, they said the zip code from the local store didn't match my home, so it was denied. I told them this was fairly embarassing, and we're getting ready to do this again in May for DL. The cc company said to call them in advance and say this charge is going to come through, and it should be accepted. The local store didn't run my card until the morning of the delivery.

But my cc company shut down my whole card and I couldn't use it again until I talked to them. So maybe calling your cc company in advance should help.

This also happened to me when I booked Supershuttle for a transfer. Zips didn't match, and the card was declined. Same issue.
