We will be arriving in Disney via plane and Magical Express. There are 7 of us total. So all of us heading to the grocery store is a bad idea. What are your suggestions for getting food and drinks delivered to the resort? Are there any local grocery stores that deliver? Or are they just from the internet? Not sure if we will just drive to a grocery store (a couple of us), or if we would prefer to have it delivered. Any suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know your experience even if it was a bad one.

THANK YOU!

I ordered mine from wegoshop.com Marge was great. Helped me out and got me a delivery time I needed.

Garden Grocer is who we have our order placed with. I have heard good & bad things, I am really hoping they come through for us next Saturday!!!

Depending on which resort you're in, there may be an adequate quick market located in the gift shop.

Any of the properties with DVC attached (Wilderness Lodge, Boardwalk, Beach Club, and in a few months, Animal Kingdom Lodge) and Ft. Wilderness have substantial mini marts.

You could also take a cab to one of the on property Hess stations, that would be fairly inexpensive. There's one right outside the Magic Kingdom and near the Boardwalk resort/Epcot area. Both have good prices on sodas, milk, and lots of quick food and staples like cereal, donuts, etc.

We were very pleased with garden grocer .com during our May 07 trip...we had water and some breakfast foods delivered...decent prices, prompt service, and nothing was smashed broken. You can set up a time for your delivery and do not even have to be there...the bell service will hold your order (and even stick perishables in the fridge) until you arrive or while you are at the park. I added a tip when I ordered because I knew that I would not be around when it was delivered...there is a minimum order of $40 (I think) with a $12 delivery charge...however, like I said earlier, I did not find inflated prices (at least according to what I pay at our local grocery store).

We used Gardengrocer.com last year and they were great. They are also delivering for us next week.

We have used wegoshop.com 4 times in the past and will again in October. We order coffee, juice, water, soda, breakfast foods, beer, wine, and snacks. The cost is the cost of the items in the store plus a $17 delivery fee. I believe we saved that over shopping in the store at the resort. The delivery was always on time and I was very pleased.
This is certainly cheaper than the cost of either a cab or certainly renting a car.

Another vote her for Marge. I used her service for my trip last week and it worked out great. Turned out she was even a bit cheaper than the others and I didn't order much. She also took more. One of the products I ordered was "buy one get one free" at a shop, so she got me that.

I missed my second flight, making me about 2 hours late coming in. No problem, she just went on to do some other deliveries and go to DTD, was on my voicemail when I got into the room and delivered about 20 minutes after me getting to the room.

We were very pleased with Garden Grocer on our last trip. We had 3 families traveling together and since our order totaled over $200, the delivery was free. We did include a $25 tip with the order.

Another vote for Marge @ wegoshop. This will be our 4th trip using her and we love to pick our own supplies(brands we like) and we have always called early enough to get a delivery time that was great for our schedule.:thumbsup2

Can you really tell them exatly what you want? My daughter likes a certain kind of muffin bar and I didn't see them on the site(s)? Hmm.... I will have to check into this.

Thank you all!

We just used gardengrocer for the first time last month. The prices are higher than the supermarket (- lol - because I NEVER buy anything NOT on sale!) - but they did a great job and were well worth the few extra dollars and the delivery fee.

I ordered milk and was concerned about how it would be when I got it - when bell services at YC brought it up, it had been safely stored in the fridge since gardengrocer had dropped it off. But I digress - that was a kiudo for bell services!

Gardengrocer was so efficient - I had ordered online indicating that we'd be at the resort at 12 noon. At exactly 12 noon, as we were checking in - they called to say delivery was imminent!
