Groceries for Next Week at SSR

Hi,

We will be arriving at SSR next friday morning. I know we can order groceries from DVC but is there a supermarket that delivers also to DVC that we could order from? If so can we order today?

If we need to go through DVC is today to early to put in an order? Thanks for all your help

I have heard that Goodings Suoermarket may deliver, but I;m not sure.

There are grocery shopping/delivery services available from www.gardengrocer.com and www.wegoshop.com

We have used wegoshop.com many times and it is a small business owned by a local couple with very friendly and professional service. They change you the exact price as the grocery store (gives you the cash receipt) and only charges a very resonable delivery fee.

Yes you can order today and you get to pick the delivery time.

I actually just called wegoshop and they charge $20.00 minimum deliver fee now which seems unreasonable. Doing the math the DVC grocer is actually cheaper even though the product orices are higher

I guess it depends on how many groceries you are planning on buying. We buy enough for 10 -12 days, including 6 flats of water. Considering you can get a flat of water for the price of 2 bottles at the SSR store....the $20 delivery is nothing. (takes into account the time to buy all the items and delivery)

How do you tell them where to go to get stuff? Also, for produce, how do you assure the quality of things?

If we stay at BWV, will they bring the stuff up to our room?

I assume the resort can store the items that need to be refrigirated (sp?). Thanks again.

I've used gardengrocer as stated above and its "wonderful" not to carry everything up to the room...especially ther heavy water, soda, milk gallons..UGH!!

Go on line, fill out the info and order all the groceries you want, just like the corner store.

If there's something you dont see...add it in the comments and they will get it for you.

Yes..$20. delivery fee...worth every penny. If groceries are over $200., then, free delivery.

Disney has refrigerators & freezers (for my ice cream!!) no problem.

I am debating if I want to do a grocery stop at Albertson's after our cruise, en route to BWV, using Happy Limo, or use this type of service.

Happy Limo told me that I can fax Albertson my order and they can put everything together for me when the car stops by at the time I indicated. It is $15 for the extra grocery stop, vs. $20 delivery fee.

We have 10 people so I am not sure I want to make the extra stop to have everyone wait.

Do you have to wait around for the grocery delivery much?

You can request which store you want them to shop, but I have no preference and they chose publix. They will also make additional stops for $5 each.

Never had a problem with produce quality, wegoshop does a great job picking things out. If they have a question they will call you right form the store.

Yes, they deliver right to the room generally at your convience.

I store the grocery tel # in my cell.
When I get my room assignment, I call them, give my room # and have had them up in the room with all my groceries within the hour!

they will deliver and your valet will bring it all up..whatever you wish..

Thanks!! I think I will use the delivery for our Xmas trip. It will be during the peak time at Disney, so I don't have to get stressed out if our car service gets stuck in traffic. Now it comes down to wegoshop or garden grocers. I will call them as I get closer to our trip.

We have used GardenGrocer for our last two trips. There is a minimum order of $40 - but the delivery charge is only $10 (our last delivery was a week ago). Orders over $200 have free delivery.

When we were there in Oct. at check in the info pack listed a grocery store that delivered I think they charged a $10 fee but the store was one of the most expensive ones around.

sunray transportation. We have used BOB three times. His car service is EXCELLENT and we stop at PUblix usually.....so easy. We find him very reasonable priced and the service is PERFECT.
