I read somewhere that you can order groceries and have them delivered to your room for a service charge of $5.00.
Does anyone know where I can find a list of available items and their cost?
I found a link to the DVC club for this, but since I am not a member I couldn't sign in.

Also, what is the best store to stop off at to buy groceries if we are flying in and have a taxi stop?

Thanks for any advice you can give me.
It is always appreciated.

The Groceries come from the OKW General Store so the prices are high and the selection low. I would not do this.

I am sure someone else can respond to your question on the best grocery store. However, based on what I read it appears that the Publix chain is the most popular. Most of the towncar services will not stop at the Super Walmart since it takes too long.

Hi, I think all the resorts have similar groceries in the gift shops. We stayed at CBR last year and found they had enough stuff to be considered convenient. In CBR at the back of the gift shop was the grocery section. It had a section about 8-10 feet long and about 4 shelves high of stuff, things like: diapers, bandaids, sunscreen, baby food, cookies, donuts, snacks stuff, bread etc.,. The also had a refridgeration section with milk, bacon, juices etc.,. I was surprised to see things like this at the resorts. The baby food came in very handy since we ran out of our baby food way too soon. The cost was high, as excepted, but I was paying for convenience TIME IS MONEY to me and the dime more I spent on baby food was worth not going off site to a store.

Last year we shopped at Publix in Daytona Beach and later in the week we went to Goodings at Crossroads. I guess Publix was less expensive but I didn't mind Goodings at all. I know lots of folks complain about it, but I liked it. I found they had everything we needs and more and I guess things were on sale because the prices were not too bad.

In 1998 we shopped at the Super Walmart everyone raves about. I thought the food costs were HUGE, I bought grapes and red peppers and I was FLOORED at the cost, way too high!

We are going next month. If I get great directions to the Publix, I'll go there but I'd be happy with Goodings again, we only need to buy, peanut butter, jam, bread, milk, cookies, fruit, veggies, cold cuts. I'll bring lots of food from home. Sandra
