Groceries at Hess DTD behind Planet Hollywood??

Has anyone been here for groceries recently? Do they stock cereal bars or boxes and things like packs of bottled water, crisps and things like that as well as toiletries? We're thinking of popping down on the boat one night to stock up on essentials so any help will be appreciated

Also, (sorry to hijack wifey!) do they sell beer??? I know my DH would maybe like the odd cool one when we're back in our room!

We're staying at POFQ too -anyone have directions as to how to get to this Hess? how long would it take us from POFQ?

Appreciate any help anyone can give

Yes, the Hess sells beer and it's much cheaper than Disney prices

In the past, we have just used the Disney buses to & from DTD & crossed the road to Hess but you could also get a taxi.

is it near Planet Hollowood as Wifey posted? Will we be able to 'miss it'?? We wont have a car so am restricted to Disney Transport ( or as you suggest a taxi!!)

If you look at the site of DTD on Google Earth you'll see it just behind PH over the crossing it looks like a footpath crosses there any way, we had a quick look a couple of days ago. I think you'll see it just fine. Can't help on directions for driving there though we were thinking of either getting the boat or bus across from FQ. Good to know about the beer

There is also one just by the Boardwalk as well. And they sell krispy kremes hehe

for the hess beer run,we usaly get off disney bus to downtown disney at planet holywood.then go to the lights and croos the road pop into hess then back over the road,we have roller bags whe we use for waterparks like backpacks.can fit 48cans in one we take 2 .theysell beer,sodas,bread,butter,crisps kripie kream donunts plus outher esentuals.if staying onsite and no car ideal to stock up at
there one at the boardwalk as well
Beer run from pop 45 min.walking from ssr 35min

I think Walgreens on the SR 535 had a pharmacy but you would probably need a taxi, it's a long walk from DTD. You would have to walk down Hotel Plaza Boulevard down to the SR 535 and turn right and keep going towards the Chik-a -Fil and Wendys, like I said best to get a taxi. No doubt there will be other options.

You can get basic pharmacy items - painkillers etc from the hotel shop. They actually had quite a good selection at POP!

Cool, it's lactaid I'm after, as I know I'll be having lots of ice cream and cheese and things and the States has such a better range of locatose-intolerance stuff.

Great info about the Hess station! We'll be staying at SSR for the first time in April so I'm sure DH will be glad to know where he can stock up on beer without paying $$$$$$$$.

$6 for a can of bud from shop in SSR or any disney hotel.i know were we will be stocking up.
Like i said there prices comair very well to supermarkets offsite.think of them like 7-11.you can even get pizza from there.and cokes are usaly on offer

We always stay onsite and use Disney Transport so for our drinks and snacks for in the room we go over to the Hess after our evening at Downtown Disney and the Krispy Kreme Doughnuts with custard in the cenrtre and icing on the top are the best!

now called bavarian creams for some reason.we sometimes pick them up for after lunch at a waterpark with our packed lunch.and for breakie
