Is there a store at the Contemporary or BLT where you can purchase things like milk, cereal, snacks? Thanks

When we were there in the beginning of March, we used gardengrocer.com. I checked out the prices in the store at the Contemporary to see if I would have saved any money. If you are going to just buy a few things, milk, bread, snacks etc it really is just easier to buy them at the store and get them as you need them. We ended up breaking even but had several things left over, so If we would have bought our stuff at the store we probably wouldn't have spent as much. You have to consider how much and what items you want, if you are looking for something special then I would go with delivery. We spent about 50 in groceries, 14 delivery fee, 5 tip, another 5 for the bell tip.

This is really helpful information as I've been wrestling with this. We're doing a split stay that starts at the BC so could easily walk to Hess and grab water (which seems to be the biggest saver) and other drinks. We fly Southwest with no bag fees so I don't see why I couldn't pack a small suitcase with bread, bagels, granola bars, etc as long I made sure to pack them in hard sided containers. Then I could get turkey, milk and fruit from the resort convenience store. Hmmmm.... I think you've just convinced me!

Thanks so much - we're not looking to do a major stock up -- probably will ask wegoshop to go to Costco to pick up water and fresh fruit, but will pick up cereal, milk and snacks at the resort. We're meeting DD, DSIL and grandchildren there. Grands are 4 and 2 and their appetites vary greatly day by day. No way will they want a gigantic bag of Goldfish for the entire time. This way we could have the basics delivered and then they can pick and choose what they want at the store. It may cost a bit more, but we're fine with that.

I know, I was really frustrated before I left trying to decide which way to go. I did pack some stuff in our suitcases, since we only do carry on's I was limited. I packed - microwave popcorn, coffee(pre measured packs), tea, hot cocoa(nvr used it), individual ice tea packs(Arnold Palmer etc).

Have fun on your trip, :)

You could always ship a box to yourself at the resort with those kind of things. We usually ship a box to the resort and do a gardengrocer order. It cuts down on space used in the luggage. I know SW has free baggage, but just an idea for you.
