my eldest daughters first baby tooth came out today, trouble is, she never noticed it come out and it was us that spotted it missing. we were at chick-fil-A when it happened, so it is lost, presumed eaten.
mrs t wanted to keep the first tooth as a keepsake, so im obviously the one in charge of faeces inspection for the next few days....hense the groan topic.
i am correct that she will pass this tooth if she has swallowed it arent i ? how long should this take to get through her system, ie when should i be giving up. and rob, no its not 6 months !

Hi

Oh dear. I would imagine it would reveal itself within 48 hours. If your lo is showing no discomfort then it is probably already making its way through the system.

I have to say I do not envy you at the moment. It literally will be a dig around and may not be clearly obvious.

Good luck.

:thumbsup2

LOL ~ The things we have to do for 'memories' (well you won't forget that in a hurry) :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Good Luck :)

Sorry but that's just :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Good luck with your search

:rotfl2: sorry but rather you than me! My cousin's little girl informed me that the going rate in their house is £1 for the first tooth and then 50p (I best start saving now to allow for inflation!)

:rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Oh dear, I do hope she doesn't suffer from any wee stomach upset whilst you're waiting for nature to take its course - eeew!

Blimey your brave.
I can see my DH's reaction if i asked him to do them same.I guess it would be something along the lines of "no chance, you will have to just keep the second one as a keepsake" :rotfl:

Same here. My husband is the same. He would say exactly the same. :lmao:

Yep, think that if it's Mrs T that wants the first tooth she'd have to be the one who looked for it in our house.... ;)

I have to say, Id keep the 2nd tooth! I dont think I would like to have it even when it was cleaned up! All that stomach acid might have damaged it..

thats forgetting what you have to do to get it back..

good luck with your search.

Ive had two friends children independently eat a ball bearing. It took 3 days for both of them to come out.

well, just checked the first erm package, and it was clean......i think that unless its visibly obvious, she can wait for the 2nd one to come out.

DP and myself would both prefer the other for this duty :teeth:

Good luck looking for the tooth.

If I asked df to do this he would give a random kid a £5 in exchange for their next tooth!

My DD lost her first tooth while eating an apple, and I certainly wasn't going to look for it! The tooth fairy compensated her very well, and we've kept every tooth since!!

Good luck!

Just posting a link to this to kev and ken.

Otherwise i am speechless!
