Gringotts speculation

I think the Gringott's coaster is going to have a drop track where the entire track drops 20-30 feet with the train on it like Verbolten at Busch Gardens Williamsburg.

I just hope it's a family friendly coaster so more people can ride it.

The craziest semi-possible thing I heard about this was that this portion would actually be more unique, and hooked up to one of the robot arms (like in forbidden journey).

Damo- just wondering. How come you are thinking that the new HP expansions will be done in 2015? You seem to really be in the loop of all things Universal, so this is really interesting to me.

Potter is scheduled to be open by June of 2014, from what I've heard from insiders. They are working around the clock, and the majority of the work on the coaster is done. The coaster, from leaked plans, will have a drop just like Verbolten...vertical...but faster. It will also have a waterfall and be very themed. Here's a "leaked" plan

Simpsons expansion should be open by July of this year. Simpsons is said to be getting a Krustyburger, A moe's Tavern and a flat ride like One Fish Two Fish themed to something like itchy and Scratchy or aliens. Jurassic Park...with all that is talked about, you can see 2015 at the earliest...but more like 2016. There isn't even any prep work being done...with the small exception of maybe Trike encounter.
Potter should get an announcement right after Horror Nights...they don't really want people putting off their trips, like was said earlier.
Good news about JP4, it's said to be the first in a new trilogy...so the expansion should fall in about JP5.

Not for sure, but I hear things from people all over. Rule of thumb is to wait until Universal announces it before you make solid plans.

Wow! That's really exciting! The seats look more accomadating to larger folks, so my hubbie should be able to ride with us... That sounds like a great ride, hopefully it will be as good as all that....

That's just the timeline that I have read. Sounds like the plan has been in the works for a while. There is probably a lot of fabrication being done offsite and I have heard that once the crew is done on Transformers, they will be heading over to JP.

Take a trip over to the Orlando United forums. Lots of good insider information over there. http://www.orlandounited.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?6-Universal-Orlando-Resort
