Grinchmas and USH for kids

DH and I haven't been to USH since high school. We did US Orlando 2 years ago with the kids. What can you tell me about what there is to do besides the big rides? Youngest will be almost 5 and they're all over 42" (2 oldest over 48").

Also what is the Grinchmas thing about? We will be there mid December.

Besides the big rides, there are three shows: Waterworld, Special Fx Show, and Animal Actors.

Grinchmas consists of a very large treelighting show, snow play area for kids, small musical dance number on the Studio Tour Grinch set, and Grinch meet and greets.

That being said, this years Grinchmas may be very different as half of the Upper Lot of the theme park is under construction preparing for The Wizarding World.

We've YouTubed most of the rides at Universal - our DD11 is comfortable with the Tram Tour and the shows only! But she really wants to go. At least I won't need to worry about a Front of Line pass
