Grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize....Mansion Rehaunting!

I rarely post with just a brief comment ... but in this case ....

Thanks for the great photos.

The suit of armour is back up and moving but he comes no where near your Doom Buggy and it's not a sudden movement. I'm a chicken too, hated the pop-up grooms men in the attic (they are gone now) and it didn't bother me.

I feel so stupid. All this talk of the Bride and I don't even remember her on the ride. lol I have ridden that ride DOZENS of times and I have no recollection of her at all. And Madame Leota? Is that the lady in the crystal ball?

I just remember the little bride at the very end of the ride standing above you as you exit. She's also called "Little Leota"

The third pic.. the tall guy in the hawaiian shirt on the right. That's me!!! :cool1: and my wife to my left! I'd be willing to bet you show up in at least one of the pics we took, I'll check when I get home from work! We got home very late last night and I haven't had a chance to unload all my pics.

Thanks for the review. We are leaving tomorrow and can't wait to see the new ride. :hmghost: :hmghost: :hmghost:

I can't wait until December so we can see it. Maybe by then the mobs of people to see it will be smaller.

SOOOOOOOOOO WICKEDLY COOL! :thumbsup2 Love your pictures and description! I felt like I was riding again!
Thanx for the great report...HM is my fav as well.....I just bond with that ride!
On another note, I thought I read that it is no longer a FP ride....:sad2: true?
Not that it will deter me for whenever our visit to the Mansion may be, but I just couldn't beleve it was no longer going to be a FP!

Turnstiles are still there. Thanks for all the feedback guys, I would have gone into more detail but I was in a rush this morning. But I can say it's well worth the wait!

I re-encoded the 540p HD version of the Mansion video and it looks MUCH better now. I used a two-pass encoding this time (took over 6 hours) and there's almost no pixelation... it really looks like HD this time. MUCH clearer.

So, if you've downloaded the 540p version of the video, you'll want to redownload it!

It's at the Orlando Attractions Magazine web site. (sorry can't post links, post count too low :P)

But the big question is.....

Is the ring still there in the sidewalk?

Look who I found!

Too funny...lol. I remember you guys now, you had the camera high up on the monopod right? Small world.

As far as the ring is concerned....we looked and it's gone for good. =o( There are about four new freshly laid concrete sections where it use to be. Maybe they'll auction if off or something...lol.

Yes, the "ring" has been taken out. From what I understand, the ring was interfering too much with the story of the attraction. Also, imagineers didn't want to confuse guests because the "ring" was actually an old piece of steel pipe that was there from an exit gate. The "ring" also doesn't fit the story of the bride, especially since the re-vamp of the Haunted Mansion. If the attic, you'll notice that the bring is especially fond of luxury, so why would she so carelessly throw her ring out the window? Also, it has been said that the "ring" was taken out because the Haunted Mansion to this day remains a non-linear story attraction, meaning there is no one set story to the mansion, but a series of events. The "ring" made it feel like the predominant story was about the bride and Master Gracey. According to the pictures in the attic, the bride has no connection, marriage or not, to Master Gracey.
