Im thinking that little blonde girl may be Izzies daughter. In one episode I dont remember when there was a pregnant teenager and Izzie showed her a picture of her little girl. None of the other interns know she had a daughter that she gave up for adoption,....maybe that little girl is here and they are going to bring that out.

My dollar is on Addison talking to Meredith and bringing her back,...telling her Derek needs her etc....and Meredith is at her choice point..she is gonna have to decide to live and deal with her issues...which of course need to take another 10 years so they dont get her all straightened out and cancel the show.

Tonight was the first episode I've ever missed... I am extremely squeamish. I started watching b/c it was mostly about their relationships.... then they kept adding more blood and icky things. I spend most of the episodes holding my hand up to block the yuck. Last week, I was literally sick to my stomach.

Someone, tell me everything that happened - minus the drilling into a head *barf* but did the guy die? Denny & Dylan? what?!!!! tell me! what did they say to her?

That's what my dad said, along with "give me a break, this show is so dumb."

Although to be honest, I still haven't figured out why Meredith went under. It doesn't even look like she hit her head or anything Maybe she was in shock from the fall and fainted?

I guess that's a possibility. She just gave up? But with so much going for her, I don't see why she'd do that. Yes, her mother is very ill but she has a pretty fullfilling life otherwise. I think shock would be a more reasonable explanation. But who knows. Hopefully we'll find out next week when all this gets resolved!

I think shock, the water being so cold and Mer being so tiny, she went into hyper/hypothermia so quickly. Not sure which is which.

hypo=low.
hyper=high.

she was hypothermic. They cannot call her officially "dead" until they get her body temp up to normal. Standard of care is to warm the body (slowly) and then determine if there are signs of life. People have fallen into icy ponds and been there long periods of time and have lived. The body shuts down and conserves....sort of like a hibernation. Can't call anything until she's warm. Last I heard on the show wasn't she about 80 or 81 degrees? They have a lot of warming to do.

Yeah, they can probably draw out the warming for the rest of sweeps episodes this month. Maybe about seven or eight degrees per episode.

Lots of foreshadowing. I still get goosebumps and teary-eyed thinking about Denny standing there.

The little girl is a metaphor for Meredeth. She's lost without her mom, and she won't speak up. I wonder how the little girl being reunited with her mom, and the mom apologizing for being "lost" (Mer's mom is "lost" in her own way), will tie in with Meredeth's/Mer's Mom storyline?

I think that Mer's mom will die and Mer will see her in her almost dead state and her mom will tell her that she is proud of her.

Wait a minute, forget about Meredith, what about the BORE HOLES?? Can you just imagine the neurosurgeons all over the country just CRINGING with this episode!!! That was nasty.

Great episode and we are newbies to this show. Its addicting for sure.

My dh had brain surgery 6 years ago...you should have seen HIM cringing !!!
