Grey's last night....

My DVR freaked out during the taping of Grey's last night so the last half of Greys was nothing but broken up sound and picture. The last I saw was Karev picking up the newborn to hold it after he told the Mercy West doctor to deal with it or leave, and she left.

Can anyone recap the rest of the episode for me?

Mostly I want to know what happened with the little boy and his parents that donated $25 mil to the hospital...I am hoping he made it to his birthday but figured it would be predictable if he didn't.

Arizona did the surgery and the day of the boy's birthday he went into septic shock if I remember correctly. She tried to do corrective surgery and unfortunately he died

The parents did give the money to the hospital after Arizona decided to meet with the parents and take them to the morgue. After the mother couldn't do the good dream chant more than once, Arizona did it twice more and said that we always need to do it 3 times. That had me in tears.

So Arizona had a crappy birthday because she so wanted him to live. Fortunately Callie helped to comfort her.

Alex helped save the baby and the mom eventually got to hold her.

The big revelation this week about Alex and Izzie (except for the possible pregnancy news next week) is that she left him with a $200,000 hospital bill.

Christina went all rogue in the surgery of the broken bone girl and did a cardiac procedure before the cario person got there. She saved the girl, but Hunt was PO'd.

Callie threw Arizona a surprise B-day party, but it was right after the little boy died and of course Arizona got all upset (no one at the party knew he had died). At the party, the good lookign Mercy WEst doctor kissed Christina, but she stopped it and told him she was in a relationship. Hunt and Christina came to a semi truce then.

I forgot about the girl with the broken bones. I loved her response to her parents when they questioned how she could take drugs and how disappointed in her they were.

ETA - Meredith's back next week too. I know she's been in every episode, but next week she's really in the episode as opposed to just a cameo.
