Grey's Anatomy

I had high hopes for this show and I gave it three hearty tries and I'm now out. I find it is directed like a bad music video. I don't mind shows that are campy or eccentric but the constant music soundtrack and unbelieveable/unrealistic oversexed storylines take what could have been a unique and smart show down a notch. And what is with the constant Three Stooges like bumbling around? Oh well. To each his own. I'm really surprised ABC moved Boston Legal for this. :confused3

Well there was obviously a reason. Maybe more people were tuning in to Grey's Anatomy. I didn't like Boston Legal. To each his own. :)

OK, I know no one has posted on this thread in forever, but I had to bring it back out after last night's episode.

Highlight to read, because this has spoilers...

DANG, I can't believe McDreamy chose to go back to his wife!! NOOO! He's supposed to pick Meredith!

I'm so bummed. He better come to his senses...

I made a bet with DH, well I tried to anyway, I said he would go back to the wife. I just knew it. The fact that he had to think about his decision, when he orginally hated her so much brought me to this conclusion. I don't think it will last though. He is hot for Meredith.

I had such a crush on Patrick Dempsey when I was a teenager. I think that he's even cuter now, though. Talk about aging well! I love Grey's Anatomy too...it's a great show.

I love this show. But last nights was just so unrealistic. There is no way they would let people into the operating room after they left a bar, especially Merideth. Also I don't think they would spend so much time looking for the leg when there were so many other critical patients.

i have to admit I was crying when they had to pull the lady off the pole. That was just toooooo real, she is a great actress.

Deanna :bored: :cat:

Me too. It was so sad. :sad2:

I've been watching it for a while now, It's really good!

I had to record the show last night since the football game was on so I haven't watched it yet. I did read the spoiler.

That is very disappointing he went back to his wife. I really wanted him to go to Meredith. Here is to hoping he comes to his senses and goes back to Meredith.

I love this show.

I have to say I total agree with your comment about the actress that played the pole story. She did a great job. It was so sad. I am glad that I was not the only one who noticed how good her acting was. Funny show. The leg was hilarious.

I need the recap for last night.

Recovering from knee surgery and with reruns last night--I just couldn't make it to 10pm (and didn't record!!!).

I'm guessing it was the girl who died.

And that darned Dr. McDreamy!!!!

Anything up with ...uh oh..can't remember names...blondie and punk doctor. Cannot believe he gave her the brush off last week. Good for her for not taking his "stuff".

Love this show and Patrick Dempsey is so much hotter now. Although, I'm bummed too that he went back to his wife. And how they showed them at the end acting like nothing ever happened between them. That was just weird. I thought last night's episode was great.

And hey does anyone recognize the bartender? I swear he's the guy from the reality show "My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance" or something like that.

ETA: I looked him up and it is the same guy from that show. Too funny!

I was going to say OMG--he is...but the second of reading and pressing quote..you found it. :rotfl:

That explains his familiarity!

Yup, it's the same guy :teeth: That had to be the funniest reality show ever...he is actually a pretty good actor!

I had to tivo the show on Sunday and didn't get to watch it until last night. It was great! I do think it's probably unrealistic, but who cares? Not me. It's very entertaining. There are few weeks that I don't stop and play back multiple scenes because they are so funny. The pole scenes were very touching. She was a great actress, and so was the guy who played Tom. I was watching it while awaiting TOT's last night and had to quickly wipe away tears before answering the door.

I don't know, I thought Sunday's show was just unbelievable. I mean, the leg stuff was completely over the top! I recognize that it was a mass casualty, but to have so many amputated legs just lying around? Maybe it was supposed to be funny, but having been an EMT, it was just completely ridiculous.

I also found the idea of Meredith showing up to work drunk pretty silly--I'm sure that happens IRL, though.

Patrick Dempsey doesn't do much for me--maybe I'm beyond hope?

Anyway, I thought the pole situation was very touching. I was a little surprised they didn't do more to help the woman--didn't they have "Team 1" and "Team 2" in there for just that purpose?

I really like the resident in charge of the scheduling and also Christina. I must be just a contrarian, but I think showing people who are flawed is much more interesting than ones who are up all night performing surgery and then look fresh as a daisy, with people skills to boot.

BnB's mom---can you explain why they could only save one of them. I just don't understand why one had to die.

OMG I love this show! I know there have been many unrealistic events but I just love the characters (Christina is hilarous) and love the situations they get into. This has to be my fav show on tv right now, I love Sunday nights for tv!

I love this show too, and of course I wished Derek would pick Meredith. But that's how they keep us watching, right? :goodvibes

I agree I have a feeling that it is far from over they have such Chemistry the writers will use this for awhile.
