Another night doing the graveyard shuffle, so I took this brief moment to throw out the following question."What is the strangest thing you've seen during third shift?

First of all, hello fellow dwarf! I'd say the strangest thing I've seen was that Princess coming in uninvited, cleaning up our cottage, and sleeping across all our beds.

I am at work so I have to make round every so often. The strangest I've seen was this lady running from this little bare tree that she thought was a deer. We have all types of wild animals on campus, and some of are past employees were afraid of them.

Jesus Naked on a nyc subway train,He swore he was the allmighty,the son of god.I asked him to turn my poland spring water into wine to prove it,he could not.Trust i got more stories,but i would be banned if i told them here.Stay awake and safe!Btw is thrid shift overnights for you guys?? The FDNY calls the over nighter the first shift. Just wondering??

My boyfriend and I have been watching the whole series on DVD. Currently on season 3... I think I may need to take a break LMAO

Its 3rd shift where I am, days is 1st 8a-5p, 2nd 4p-12a and 3rd 12a-8a

Some second shift sightings:

1) A lady running through the parking lot, by the dumpster, naked. She was just drunk and being incredibly stupid

2) A man *pleasuring himself* under the table at an expensive steak house I worked at. Ubi Dubi Ex Flagilati.

Could be worse I see alot of naked people depending on the moon's cycle, and whether the children's med's are working.

It is time for another installment of the "NightWatch" thread. Once again I sit at the computer at my lovely third shift job, and what to write about. I just finished Jason Surrell's "The Haunted Mansion: From the Magic Kingdon to the Movies." Awesome book well worth the price. Did you know only two characters in the Haunted Mansion have "official names? Or that Vincent Price was the oringal ghost host for the Phantom Manor in Paris. Can't wait to start on his Pirates book next.
I am also wondering what other thirdshifter or maybe some night owls do on their birthday when they are up this late. I am start official celebrating 37 year. I am also working my part time day job tomorrow as well, and if should be a "Wonder'ful" day at that.

Strangest things Ive seen on the overnight shift were dead bodies. At one hospital I worked at, the mourge was across the hall from the file room in the basement. And since it was a major trauma center it wasn't unusual for there to be bodies in there all the time. Many times when going to the file room the door would be open and you could see the bodies, or if they were waiting for paperwork or something, there might be one on a gurney in the hall. Not what you want to see in the basement alone at night.

Thought I would check in. I am here at the Hospital for another 12 hour night shift. I dont think they would let me post all the strange things ive seen. Some of it is real x-rated. Oh here's a tame one. One night we saw a bunch of security running down the hall. Being somewhat curious we ran out of the unit to see a man riding his bike down the hall. Security was chaseing him on foot. The man on the bike stopped at the stairway door opened it and rode his bike down the staircase. We were on the sixth floor! One of the male nurses decided to go after them to see what would happen. About 10 minutes later he came back to report the biker had gone accross the bridge to the parking garage and escaped!!! Now this biker had somehow gotten through 2 security doors into the hospital and up to the 6th floor! Yahoo! What a ride! Back to work now...and now for a strange interlude.

I am officially back on 3rd shift as of next week. I am out this week due to surgery.

I have been waiting 2 years for this shift back YAY I can have a life again!!

After 25yrs on the nightshift I have just about seen it all, but I'd have to say the housekeeping staff cooking their muskrat in the autoclave takes the cake

Muskrat!!!! UGH! We were making waffles one night in PICU and caught a waffle on fire. All of a sudden it was CODE RED PICU!! Oh no, we threw the waffle iron and waffles out the window. Told security one of the lights had blown up.
