Devastated (even if that's how I went) may be a strong word, but it better be under glass if I don't make it. Just kidding.

I'm guessing they don't let you know right away because they want your paperwork to be all signed sealed and delivered before they let you know you didn't make the cut.

My guide is supposed to put in my info asap on Thursday morning. He did say there were no guarantees. He also said he wasn't sure if he'd know then if I got it or not..
He did say that if I did get it I'd be mailed something later on letting me know.

I was told we'd get mailed something in about April as to how we want our names put on the Tapestry if we make the cut.

I didn't find a category that fit my situation. I am very interested in purchasing points at Animal Kingdom villas, but the tapestry thing seems kind of -- don't flame me folks -- lame.

It just seems to be being used as a tool to make some people absolutely nuts to be sure to get on the oh-so-exclusive tapestry and buy immediately. I love freebies as much as anyone, but having my name on this along with 99, 149 or however many other people I don't know? Hmm, it just doesn't do much for me. I might be more interested in they had some African tapestry or other object which they gave to early purchasers.

Besides, I would be sure to get a super dork label from the preteen and teen in the family.

You are absolutely correct, and I fell for it hook line and sinker. I am really excited to possibly be a piece of the piece of Disney that I own, at least until 2057!

It really excits me (I am a lame, dorky nerd), and I embrace that!

Two options, believe the new rumors that you have till the 28th of Feb. (There are only 35,000 AKV points BTW!)

Or call (800) 800-9100 (DVC SALES). Ask for a manager, explain you want to purchase and that your guide is off. They will take care of you.

Even our kids must be dorks, they are excited as we are to be buying AKV with the possible bonus of seeing thier name everytime they stay there on future trips.

As my son said when he found out ..........."Really, Way Cool"

Interesting, my kids tell me I'll move from SCD (Super Cool Dad) to UCD Ultimate Cool Dad) if I get their names on the tapestry

Yes, our contract for 200 points should be entered this morning and I'd be very very unhappy if we weren't included on the tapestry. I've told my guide as much and that I'm sure he'll come through for us. I crack him up.
