Hi all!

I just felt this strange urge to tell all you DVC'ers that I AM GREEN WITH ENVY that you own a little piece of the World.

That's all. Nothin' more, nothin' less. Just envious. And jealous. And cranky about it.

Hmmph.

LOL!

Well, would it help if you realize that we're only leasing the pieces of the world, our contracts do have expirations dates!

You too can join!

Pixie dust and best wishes to you! You made me smile and I'm happy for that.

Bobbi:boat:

Join us! And then you too, can be among the "envied"! LOL.

Best wishes -

Please, come join the party...it is SOOOO much fun!!!...and, we would LOVE to have you!!!

:thewave: :thewave: :thewave:

Believe me, I'd love to join! And one day we will, God willing. Was hoping to do so this year or next but then we got slapped with reunions, weddings and more. And next year I have to plan our 15th anniversary commitment ceremony. Stupid, stupid me. Had to go and buy him a ring. Rrrrrrr... When I coulda had a DVC membership. Nuts.

Just kidding!

So I shall revel in my jealousy and glare at each of you, my arms crossed, lower lip jutting in a chronic pout.

Many people, DH and I included, thought about DVC, gathered info, and crunched the numbers for quite some time before taking the plunge. Do some research and then do what is right for you. DVC is not going away anytime soon. The prices do keep going up, but so do the prices of everything else. We love DVC, and if you are a Disney nut you would love it too!!!!!

You know, DH and I thought we couldn't afford it when we first looked into it, but once we did some research we found that if we purchased directly from Disney, that it was actually pretty affordable and could be fairly easily worked into our monthly budget.

PM if you want the details.

You could probably pick up a resale for the Boardwalk Villas...I know you love the Boardwalk. It's only money, make payments!

Hey, did you ever finish that darn trip report? :teeth:

Very funny!!!!

Seriously, though...you know you can get a resale and buy just a few points. If you bought 50 points, you could bank and borrow, and have 150 pts every three years. You can finance through Tammac, or do like we did...get 2.9% on our Disney Visa...those payments would be VERY cheap...then, you could always add-on later...and, at least you could know that you are "in the club" :earsboy: !!!

Really...the only regret people tend to have with DVC is that they didn't do it sooner...here's hoping you get yours soon...stupd ring!!!!! (Just kidding!)

My thoughts exactly! DVC is much more fun than a ring! :teeth:

Really, why spend all that money on a ceremony? Buy a DVC contract together and celebrate your 15th at the Boardwalk! It's a no brainer!::yes::

Oh... my... God.... You are a genius!

And I swear to God, I'm actually going to brainwash him into this thinking... I'll probably get a show thrown at my head but it's worth a shot!

Rick and Joe
Great idea... get married at the Boardwalk and we could all be there...:teeth: wonder if you put a DVC contract on your registry if people will get you that??

Actually a resale can be very reasonable and if you buy now you lock in a price, next year it will be more..

How's the new job??

Tell him you'd just be throwing all that money away on a ceremony and party that you'd be too nervous to enjoy, then the next day, what do ya got to show for it...a big fat hangover and drunks sleeping in your bathtub.

With DVC you've got vacation accomodations to enjoy until 2042! Now that's a commitment ceremony!:teeth:

You guys are a riot!! :teeth: I do like the ideas though. RickinNYC...please keep us updated on your decision. I'm pulling for ya'. ::yes::

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this thread after a not so easy Friday! I even read it all to DH well enough so he was laughing:teeth:

Thank you RickinNYC!

I like the ceremony at the BWV idea myself. I saw a ceremony last week when we went. It was beautiful, they had a small (2-3) string instrument band or people playing and the guests was coming out of the ESPN lounge to take their seat under the pavilion and they had it at the pavilion on the right when you're going towards the BWV before you get to the ESPN restaurant. It was hot hot hot, but it was so beautiful.

32 years and I still have the same little diamond! Everytime I think of a larger stone, I think................Naw, I'd rather be in WDW. Buy points, go to Disney and invite us all to your ceremony!!!!:D
