Green Mickeys

I am new so if this sounds dumb, sorry!! What are the Lime green Mickeys about?

I just found out about this myself, so I hope I don't get anything wrong.

I guess at Home Depot they have Disney paint, and this "alien" green color comes with a Mickey-shaped head.

DIS members write their user names on them and put them on their hotel doors, book bags, etc. so that everyone can recognize them in the parks.

Just a neat way to connect in the parks. I haven't been able to do it yet myself, but on my next trip I will.

I'm sure someone will fill in the blanks of what I may have missed.

They are just a way of recognizing other Disboard members. Go to Home Depot and get the green Mickey head shaped paint chips...put your username on it if you want and punch a hole in it. Attach it to your backpack to carry in the park. If you see another Disboard member, say hi!

You can also tape one to your hotel room window and we'll all know a Disboard member is staying there It's like a secret club!

They are just the free samples you can take home to match colors. The Disney paint has Mickey shaped samples.

You know there has to be a guy somewhere with the job of counting how many sample chips of each color go out in the hands of the public vs how many gallons of the paint color actually sells. That guy has got to be scratching his head. Maggie

We don't have a Home Depot in our town. Does anybody know if this line of paint is in any other store, like Lowes or Sears??

My DH saw a bunch of the lime green heads in my purse and just looked at me, rolled his eyes, and said, "I don't even want to know!".

Thanks for the info! I will definitely bring my green mickey's for my Sept trip!! I already have some of those mickey's that I scrapbook with! I will be looking for all of you! It's nice to feel like your part of a secret club!

Another thing you can do with the paint chips: You can carefully peel the Mickey Head off the backing card. That way you can attach it to just about anything. I peeled off two, put them back to back, and laminated it.

It's fun to keep an eye out for them at the parks.
