I've never gotten around to making my ears to put out. now I'm thinking that I'd better not. I can't handle this toilet paper manipulation. I mean, some things are just understood to happen. Now I have to check to see which way it's spinning, just to make sure Jen hasn't been by? I'll never be able to flush in peace and tranquility again.

Last time I stayed at the fort (2008) I didn't put ears up. I left my trailer in the overflow lot because my site wasn't ready and a Fiend vandalized it when I was gone, my site was next to a Diser (not someone I would consider a fiend) who wouldn't talk to me (which was okay), around the bend Jen was parked, I went on a bike ride but it was too early to visit (and the motorhome was a rockin') and when I came back she was pulling out and I think she may have flipped me off, Deb claims she stopped by and the only evidence she found of me was my empty crocs by the door - all this and no ears. I mean, with this kind of treatment, why the heck would I want to advertise I'm there? Actually, though, Lynne, George, Cheryl and Jeff liquored me up pretty good with chocolatinis one night. Last year I found Frank and Denise even though I wasn't staying there, and one year I caught Carol in the parking lot when she was leaving and she gave me a tour of her T@B, then there was BATWiT. All of this stuff - no ears. This year I am going to grab a bunch of them at Home Depot before I leave and put them on other people's spots and watch the action.

Okay, here is how my Green Mickey head works. If I have it out and displayed in the upright position then please stop by. I am usually sitting out under the awning sipping a fine Micro Brew or Crown and Coke.

If my Green Mickey head is out but is displayed upside down then this is the equivalent of the "Do Not Disturb" sign in a hotel and means I am either napping or involved in other, generally considered, "indoor activites" and I am not to be disturbed.

Well I guess you'll never find ours upside down then.

I just have to say that I would love to meet you guys at the Fort one of these days!!!

Unfortunately, I came home empty-handed this last trip.
My malfunctioning ears, coupled with almost no looping time, short stay, and KFK's serious lack of stalking skills all contributed to my not getting to see anyone.

Having said that - if I didn't want to meet anyone, I would not put up green ears (or attempt to) if I didn't want someone to come a knockin' on my door! That's kind of the point, I think. I hate to hear that people have been rude about it.

Slight thread drift, but I'm curious: Do you put up your ears at campgrounds other than the Fort? I'm still belly-aching that I can't make it down there this year, but I'm still hoping to run into some Fiends IRL.

I was wondering the same thing about whether or not to display the ears at other CG's.
