Hello All,

My 15 yr. wants to be Elpheba from Wicked (her friend is the good one). She has sensitve skin and breaks out alot. Wev'e had it totally under control with Pro Activ.

I saw MAC Chromacake Landscape Green is what they use in Wicked but thats $50, cannot afford that...
so I thought I'd ask here.

Anyone have any that they used and didn't cause rashes or breakouts.

Instead of using heavy cream, I would probably buy green eye shadow and a big brush and apply it all over my face. I think Physicians Formula at the drug store is hyper-allergenic

OK i think I will give that a test. I almost bought green eyeshadow from MAC. I thought that the green eye shadow was what I needed but then later read it's the cromacake (SP?) stuff.

Thank you.

Maybe get some green eyeshadow, crush it up and mix it in moisturizer? The halloween crap you get in the store screws up my skin pretty badly too. Or Ben Nye products, those have a pretty good rep but I don't know how expensive they are.

It wasnt green but last year I was Sally for Halloween and I used eyeshadow. I didnt breakout and I have sensitive skin too. What I did was i just used the eye shadow and took a sponge applicator that I use for my foundation and just applied it that way and it stayed on all day.

These are the products I recommend to people who ask me, I am a professional face and body painter.

First, don't buy the crap being sold in stores at this time of year.

Second, you can buy professional face paint, which is really make up and not a paint at all. The simplest set to find in stores like Michaels is from a company called Snazaroo. It's easy to use, and made specifically for face painting.

If you have a theatrical supply store locally, you may be able to find a brand called Mehron.

But honestly, I think the Snazaroo set is your best bet. They can sometimes also be found (small sets) at claires, Joann's and Hobby Lobby.

You can also use high pigmented eye shadows or mineral powders.

DD was Elphaba last year. My tip- be on the lookout for some thin green gloves. (We used some of the $1 stretchy ones from Walmart.)

DD had a slight panic Halloween morning that her face would be green but her hands would be white (well, pink).

thank you everyone. I knew I'd get great ideas here.

I'll try a few things, like julip mask and eyeshadow and snazaroo. Thank you. I'm off tomorrow morning and will pick up stuff for her to check out before halloween thing.

Never even thought of the hands.LOL If is see gloves I'll pick up.

I know this will sound crazy but in high school we would use fabric paint. I have super sensitive skin and I've never had a problem. We used the Scribble brand. Made a great checkerboard for spirit week!
