Great Wolf Lodge

Hi! I was wondering if anyone had a information of Great Wolf Lodge. I happened upon the website from one of the banners here (on the CB) and thought it looked cool. Well, my DSIL & DBIL was telling us about it yesterday, they went and really enjoyed it. My DH & I looked at the website last night and we want to try and take a trip there over our Mardi Gras vacation next year. I'm going to try and surprise DD, she's been asking to go to a water park and it looks like this would be a great opportunity.

I guess what I'm asking for are any experiances and if it was worth going. We are looking to stay 3 nights, that would give us 2 full days and 1 -2 half days. (b/c of driving time, 8.5 hrs w/o stops ) DD will be 7.5 and DS will be 28 months. What other things are there in the area to do? Eat?

We have never been there, but yesterday I booked a 2-night stay in July for the 3 of us, and a friend of DS's.

We are staying at the Grand Mound, WA GWL.

We have looked at videos on youtube.com of the GWL and it looks really neat.

Sorry I can't really be of any help, but to me, for a quick summer vacation, the price after coupon doesn't seem too horrible for 4 people (we got the Wolf Den Suite for $249/night).

We took my kids a few years ago to the one in Williamsburg and had a blast!! In my opinion, one or two nights there would be enough to have a good time, but not get tired of it. The food in the hotel can be pricey (and not very good) so we always went off-site to eat.

Thanks for the info. I never thought to look it up on youtube.com. We'll do that tonight. I figured since I'm driving that far, I better make it worth it and stay a few days and find things to do.

I have been 3x to one in Ohio. My kids loved it. It is a great way to spend a weekend getaway. Enjoy.
