Actually you go through two huge lineups. #1 at 1pm when you are allowed to enter the water park. You have to check in at the front desk first. Of course your room is not ready until 4pm so off you go to use the really unexcusable tiny changerooms. Really not good planning on their part. It is impossible to find a locker (there seems to be a better chance in the men's) and you can't charge anything to your room on your bracelets until you have a room so you have to carry around your wallet. The staff does not monitor the chairs and tables so by 10:30 they are all taken up. This leaves you standing and holding your wallet while the children play.
Than at 4pm you head off to the front desk (wet in your bathing suit thinking I'll just grab a towel because this won't take long) to check in and receive your actual room. You have to wait in line again. You get cold. You get annoyed by the talking tree you found so sweet just a few hours ago. You finally receive your room key and haul out to the car all wet to bring in the luggage to your room. Your room is on the fourth floor and you need to take the elevator up since hubby is with the kids and although your nickname is packmule(overpackers unite!) try as you might you can not carry 4 suitcases, 5 pillows,3 backpacks, a case of water and the portable DVD player up the stairs all at once. As mentioned earlier the elevators are full of other parents carrying in their luggage too. You wait in line.
Perhaps you decide to eat dinner in the hotel restaurant. It seems like a good idea. It is close by. Turns out it is quite expensive and not all that tasty. Try takeout instead.
I'm sounding bitter here and I don't mean to be that hard on them. The place was clean, the kids had fun, so much so that we are going again this year. But I will be a wiser traveller. Just wanted to help make you one too.
