Tell me everything I need to know please! We have never been there before but am trying to figuring out where to go for a mini vacation this summer. This is one contender but I guess I just need more info. My DD is 2 (will turn 3 the month after our trip) DS is 7.
First a few questions then any other info you can offer would be GREAT!

My DH is overweight (as am I) so he likes to wear a Tshirt while swimming, is this allowed?
How busy would it be in mid-August?
Could DD wear a swimmy diaper if still necessary?
Is there other stuff at the resort to do besides the waterpark?
Is two nights enough, one?
Are the rooms opened up to the water park or are they separated from each other?
Would you go again?
Although it was only about $240 per night it seems expensive to me am I crazy for thinking that?
TIA!!

We've been there twice, but both times in the winter--so I can't answer all your questions, but here's my best :)

My DH is overweight (as am I) so he likes to wear a Tshirt while swimming, is this allowed? I saw many other people doing it.

How busy would it be in mid-August? Not sure, but I think that is one of the peak times.

Could DD wear a swimmy diaper if still necessary? Yes

Is there other stuff at the resort to do besides the waterpark? There is an arcade, but we didn't use it. There is also Magiquest, which my kids loved . It's kind of expensive, I want to say it was about $40/per wand, plus you can buy a whole bunch of accessories and stuff to go with it.

Is two nights enough, one? Both times we went, we only spent one night. But we always went mid week in the winter, which was their least busy time.

Are the rooms opened up to the water park or are they separated from each other? The water park is kind of in the middle, and the rooms are on two side wings. If you're asking if your room would have like a patio door that opens directly to the water park, then no. But it's all in the same building--you don't need to go outside or anything.

Would you go again? Yes!

Although it was only about $240 per night it seems expensive to me am I crazy for thinking that? I think that's about what we paid for a kid cabin suite, during the non peak season and after a promotional discount (I'm on their mailing list and they mail me stuff every couple of months). We can't afford to do it often...only once a year or so. "Expensive" is kind of subjective. :) If you go midweek during the school year (if your kids school has kind of a different schedule than most, or your willing to pull him out of school for a few days) you can probably get a better deal. Also, sign up for the mailing list and they will send you discount codes.

My DH is overweight (as am I) so he likes to wear a Tshirt while swimming, is this allowed? As far as a t-shirt, I would suggest a swim shirt. You can get them at Walmart or anywhere like that. It will dry more quickly and be lighter to wear. Many boys and men wear them now.

How busy would it be in mid-August? Even at its busiest, it is not crazy busy. The only people that can use the waterpark are those staying there. The crowds are especially light the first hour they are open and the last hour they are open. Even during the middle of the day, max lines we had were maybe 10 minutes for one of the big slides.

Could DD wear a swimmy diaper if still necessary?
Yes, and it is required for kids not potty trained.

There is MagicQuest, which your son might like, but it costs extra. If you decide you want to do that, I have a wand you can have if you pay shipping. My son is too old for the game now. There are also some Kids Clubs, but we never did them.
Is two nights enough, one? One has always been enough for us. You can arrive around 12 the first day and begin to use the water park. Your room will not be ready until 3 or 4. On your checkout day, you can use the waterpark until closing, so you really get 2 days of waterpark for one nights stay. There are changing rooms in the waterpark you can use.
Are the rooms opened up to the water park or are they separated from each other?
Separated. Some are closer though. You could request something closer.
Would you go again? Yes! We love it!

Well, if you think about 2 days at a waterpark, it is not too bad. Our local waterpark is $35 adult/$40 kids per day. So for one day, it would cost you $150. Everything is outside in the sun and the waits are terrible. You might be able to find a discount code if you search too.
