Is $219 a good rate for one night? I haven't seen anything lower. They are offering that rate during DS' spring break week. I'd just love to go SOMEWHERE! (Cabin fever).

Is it worth the extra $20 for the fireplace suite?

Speaking from personal experience, the amount of time you spend in the room is minimal or at least for us it was. Everything else is pretty pricy so it's 20bucks you can spend on something else.

You could just book the best price , and then ask if there is an upgrade to a room with a fireplace. We have gotten an upgraded room, at no extra charge, Good luck, and enjoy your trip.

Oooh, how did you get that price? That sounds good to me!

I just happened to check the website and there is a 48 hour sale going on...you need to book by Friday and it runs through April. $219 is the lowest price in the special. :goodvibes

Thanks for the tip about asking for the upgrade at check-in.

For what I have seen lately, it's a good deal. I remember the first time we went there, it was May 2007. There was a coupon code and I paid $100 for the room. Now, forget it!! I will never get a deal like that again, I would say.

I just got an email from them that the 48 hour sale is $199.99... Didn't care for the place so not worth it to me, but this is the best deal they send out all year as far as I've seen. I keep watching, I'd go if they'd do $99 deal but they don't:upsidedow

I am the bed bug police. Just be careful. We are rather local and there is always "stories" about bed bugs here. Which I find hard to believe because aren't the mattresses plastic?
But yes that's a good rate-

That's a great price! We were just there a couple of weeks ago, and had a room on the 2nd floor, right outside magiquest, next to the stairway. I thought it would be noisy, but it was fine, and so nice to be close to the center (we've also been in a room at the very end of a hallway, and it's a cold walk back from the waterpark).

Yeah probably not. I've been hoping for that too. :( Oh well. 'Till then, $219 works for me.

Oh, and I really like the fireplace suite, it's bigger. I'd rather pay the $20 than be disappointed that I didn't get the upgrade when I checked in. (I never get upgraded for anything!)

DH mulled it over but he is reluctant to ask for a day off work in April since he is asking for some time off in March to do some volunteer work and is going to San Francisco for it. Sigh...well, there's always another time. He needs to do well at work; I'm unemployed (not even underemployed) at the moment. :headache:
