Great Wolf Lodge getting built near Diseyland in 2015?

I just read on a facebook page that the Great Wolf Lodge is starting construction near the Disney hotel and should be open June next year. We are heading over in Oct/Nov 2015 so really interested in staying here after reading they cater for large families. Has anyone stayed at a Great Wolf Lodge before? How was it for a bigger family? I know its still ages away but I cant stop my planning lol

There's a thread about this over on the Disneyland boards too. I've never heard of them, but sounds like they could be good for larger travelling parties with kids.

It sounds like somewhere I'd try to avoid though We don't have kids and it sounds very kid oriented, plus we don't generally travel with more than 4 in our party, and there are a lot of options for that. I'd rather somewhere smaller that is more adult.

I very nearly booked the Great Wolf Lodge at Niagara in 2007. In the end, we were after a quieter place and went somewhere else instead.

We did drive by the lodge to take a look. It seemed pretty noisy with kids running about the water park area. I think we made the right choice for my family.

It will just depend on what you want for yours.

I just saw where they are building it! It is down near the Target on Harbor. So excited!
