Great Virtual New Year's Eve Party!

Happy New Year, I just wanted to chime in and say what a great time I had with the virtual New Year's Eve Party. Thanks for organizing that. Even though I could only stick around until 9:30pm or so, it was great to jump in and touch base with so many friends. What a fun way to celebrate the holiday. I had my family gathered around me, and I could also chat with friends. Doesn't get any better than that!

It was very fun...I had family at my house and friends in chat as 2009 rang in. What more could a person ask for.

The 80's retro was especially fun.

I had a blast in chat with my DIS friends and having my family here playing Wi and celebrating. The 80's stuff was great. HOWEVER my hangover is not so virtual. The bottle of Asti was very real. Now I have to nurse my banging head. Can you tell I never drink. he he he

So much fun talking about 80's music.

So much fun watching the ball drop and the webcast of the fireworks from the Poly beach "together."

So much fun seeing people's typing and spelling deteriorate as their celebrating (i.e. drinking) increased, LOL.

It was even fun bouncing back and forth to Chatzy when we started getting booted at 11:02 p.m. "It's back up!" "It's down again." "We're back in!" "Nevermind, we've been booted again." "Let's just stay here."

Darn...I popped into the boards and tried to go into chat three or four times but it was down! I guess timing is everything.

Oh well, I wouldn't have been much fun anyway as we went to visit my DMIL in her skilled nursing center a couple of days ago and I believe I was exposed to Norovirus (don't know if that's spelled right!). Anyway several of the seniors were sick and it wasn't too long before DH and I started experiencing the same symptoms. So around 8:30 last night I was hugging the toilet and it lasted throughout the night. It's so unfair...I feel like I've got a hangover this morning without the benefit of wearing the lampshade the night before!!!

That was fun last night and I'm still humming 80's songs today. A few of us hung in there until the chat closed officially (not just randomly) just after 2am EST. It was a fun way to spend NYE and weren't those fireworks from the Poly beach fantastic?!

it was a fun time for the hour or so I was in there before I tried to get some sleep...which backfired because the baby woke up not long after I layed down so I got to ring in the new year with a formula bottle instead of a champange bottle
