I spoke with a CM yesterday about the construction in Tomorrowland just outside of Buzz. She explained that they are, in fact, removing the planter to create more room. The drawback, of course, is that we lose a lot of seating.

Plenty of great things happened over the past two days. The biggest surprise was that, contrary to my expectations, today (Labor Day) wasn't busy at all. It was like a light-to-moderate Sunday. I was very pleased about that.

Managed to be the first in the park. See the pics below.

Twice today different CMs asked me if I'd like to ride Buzz again just as I finished my ride. That was a nice thing to do. So I ran out, got my score/entered my initials and then came back in via the exit. My best score over the two day was approx 2,070,000.

I was also nearly hit by a selfie stick yesterday. I'm pretty sure they were tourists from overseas and didn't know they weren't allowed. How they got it in the park, though, remains a mystery :-).

A CM on Space Mountain told me that they aim to convert to Ghost Galaxy in approx two weeks. i was also told that Sundays may feature more EMH mornings. I hope that doesn't come to pass.

OK -- very tired so here are some pics. Didn't take a ton but I'll post what I have. Got a nice sneak shot of The Haunted Mansion conversion.

Incidentally, this morning at around 9:00, @midnight star approached me just outside of Buzz. She recognized me from the boards. It's always nice to be recognized at the park!

The scoreboard as it stood when I left at around 2:30.

P.S. A CM friend mentioned that she might be able to get me a discounted ticket for one of the Halloween parties. I've never been but may go this year :-).

Space will be closed on Thursday for the conversion as Halloweentime begins on Friday.

This seems off since Halloween time starts in just 4 days. Are you sure they said a couple weeks? Schedule has it down on the 6th and it only takes a day to do a conversion at this point.

Hope you were hurt too bad.
A clunk from a selfie stick never feels good!

Maybe I missed something, but why are some of the shops on the right hand side of main street covered/blocked off?

The Main Street Cinema is undergoing refurbishment and is closed. The Clothiers a little farther down seems like they are doing some refurbishment on the exterior but the shop itself is open. You just have to enter on the side near the lockers or from the mens wear shop adjacent to it.

Thanks! I haven't been since February and I didn't remember reading or seeing the closure/refurbishments.

DO IT!! The party is the best thing since sliced bread - seriously! We love them so much and are so looking forward to the one we're going to at the end of this month.

Thats the plan. :woohoo: We have access to discounted tickets so just finding out the logistics. I am looking at Sept 19, 24, or 26.

Thanks for the report. WOW how did you get almost no one in the park? Were you one of the first in or did you somehow get in before everyone else? That is so nice to see. I have only been able to do that at DW when they let us in early for a character breakfast. I don't know if they even do that anymore. And what's with the ripped up planters in HM. I didn't realize they did that as well. Isn't that normally grass in there?
