Great time for DD yesterday

The local Civil Air patrol was offering free plane rides for kids ages 8-14 yesterday. Even though DD is only 7 they let her go. The kids that signed up went for a 15 mintue plane ride around town on a Cesna(?) plane. She absoutely loved it. She saw her grandparent's house, the lake and other thing around town. I thought she would be scared, but she wanted to go again. They got pictures taken and a certificate of flight.

What a way to top off Spring Break!

How neat for her! One of my brother's is a pilot and he's taken me and the girls for flights before. It's so different in a small plane vs a regular airline.

Was that the Young Americans In Flight program? My (then) Cub Scouts did this a few years ago and it was wonderful! I so wanted to go up in the Cessna as well!

The progam's goal is to take, I believe, 1 million children up for a flight within so many years.
