We are looking for some suggestions on "different" things to do at night, rather than just go back to the parks. I am thinking things like seeing the fireworks from the Polynesian beach, etc. Any suggestions?

Boardwalk - just wander around, or check out Jellyrolls (my favorite) or Atlantic Dance Hall.

Go to Downtown Disney.

Fireworks / Electrical Water Pageant @ the Poly beach, as you mentioned.

In September of 2008, Disney got rid of "true" Disney quality night time entertainment.

Party on....

One of our favorite evening activities is to head over to POR to the River Roost Lounge (right off the lobby on the left....you'll hear it before you get there) and catch Bob Jackson's show. He's an awesome piano player who really gets his audience involved in the show. I believe he begins playing about 8 or 8:30......lots of families with little kids during the first set....a lot of fun. When he takes his first break you'll see some of the families with younger kids begin leaving and by 10 or so it's mostly adults. A favorite afternoon activity away from the parks is heading to one of the marinas (we usually head to Wilderness Lodge) and rent a pontoon for a leisurely cruise around Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon..........I thinks it runs about $35 for 30 minutes.... but, we usually go for about an hour and that's enough time to get around Bay Lake and Seven Seas at a leisurely, relaxing pace.

Bob is awesome. Haven't seen him since 1998, need to make our way back over there again sometime.

Speaking of the Boardwalk, that's our home resort so I have stupid question, if you're going there just to hit the boardwalk will they let you park at the resort? I've never gone there when not a guest at the hotel.

They have an overflow lot behind the Hess station (across the street from the main parking lot at BW). I've heard they are directing people to park there if they are not registered guests at BW or BWV.......don't know if they give a time limit to park there since they discourage people from parking there and heading thru the International Gateway for a day at Epcot.

Think I read on your trip report thread that you have a 14-month old. If you are comfortable, consider calling Fairy Godmothers and having a grown-ups night out over at Downtown Disney...Raglan Road is a favorite...or try to get dinner reservations in Epcot and enjoy dessert and adult beverages while watching the fireworks. Good luck! :flower3:

Go to AKL to see the animals with night vision glasses. Take the boats from the resorts to DTD and around the lake.

Fireworks / Electrical Water Pageant @ the Poly beach, as you mentioned.

Our favorute way to spend a quiet night!

The Campfire with Chip and Dale at Fort Wilderness is cute also. 14 months may be a little young to enjoy it, though.

More and more resorts are doing movies outdoors. I've seen them at OKW, BCV, and Kidani. Also, I went to the one at BCV when I was staying at BWV.

We like mini golf at night, shuffleboard.

Enjoy hitting the movies or DQ.

Love Karaoke at Kimonos.:thumbsup2

Elliot Dyson at Port Orleans FQ. Mr. Dyson plays 5 - 6 instruments - very interesting and entertaining - and not as raucous as Bob Jackson's show, if you like your music a little more laid back. More people were refilling their mugs in the food court than were drinking alcohol.
