Just wanted to share my experiences at Tutto Italia tonight. We had a 7:50pm ADR for 2. After being in the park all day, I was wondering if I booked at the wrong time, thinking we may still be eating when Illuminations started. We arrived a tiny bit early, maybe 7:45pm. The counter took our name, and asked us to sit down until called. Before we even made our seat, they called our name! Bread was delivered, and drink orders taken quickly. We took a few minutes to look over the menu. I ordered the Lasagna, and my wife ordered the seafood risoto (I don't see that on any of the online menus). We had really just started enjoying the bread, when our meals were brought, literally a few minutes later. The lasagna, was good, but I've had FAR better, especially at a little local italian restaurant in my local town near Atlanta, GA. My wife really enjoyed the risoto. It tried a bit of it, careful not to take the seafood, as there wasn't a whole lot on it (shrimp and lobster). It was very good, and hers were much better than the lasagna. Once we cleaned our plates, he took the dessert orders. I went with the chocolate torta, and my wife went for the mocha tirimisu. We were getting low on drinks at that time, and new ones were brought before ours emptied. Again, before we knew it, here comes our desserts. They were very good. The tirimisu was the best, very rich and flavorful. The torta was good, and not as rich. We ended up switching desserts, as I like the richer chocolatey desserts.
The check was brought out and payment arranged quickly as well. We were finished up, and leaving around 8:20pm, only about 30 minutes after arriving. I thanked the waiter, and let him know that I was amazed at the efficiency of the evening and about being happy to make the fireworks. He recommended watching from in front of Italy. He was right. It was a great place to watch Illuminations. Although it was a quick meal, it was never rushed. Service was as fast as we let it be. After reading about multi hour dinners and poor service around the World, I wanted to share about some great service!
