Great rooms/Views

Can you get really great rooms/views in the deluxe resorts without going concierge? We are going back in September and are considering the YC or the Boardwalk Inn. We have always gone concierge and this time we didn't use it as much with our son. We want a great room with a great view, but don't really see the point this time as I make most of our PS anyway. I'm concerned we won't get as good of a room without concierge. What have your experiences been. I'd also like to ask the same question about the GF as we are thinking of staying there and teaming it with the 3 night Disney Cruise.

I know you can get a great view at the Polynesian without going concierge. The regular lagoon view is amazing. Perfect view of the castle.

I love the Poly for those amazing views - Tahiti Longhouse!

We had a great view standard room at Boardwalk in last year. We needed to request close to lobby/elevator because my mother (age 70) needed a break on the walking. We had a view of epot (upper portion) from the land pavillion to the ball to the eiffel tower. Great fireworks view.

There are bad standard room views here but I know some do have the epcot view. We also had a balcony and more rooms at BWI have balconies. At YC/BC, there are some without or with the very small step out kinds.

We weren't disappointed with Boardwalk at all and it's the best view we've ever had!

We just got back from the Poly on Thursday. We had great views at Hawaii, but I'm not sure I want to go back anytime in the next two to three years to the Poly. We want to try something else new. We've also stayed AKL Concierge and had a great savannah view room.
