Great Resort Rates on Southwest!

Wow - great rates. I hope they come out with great deals like that for our Nov/Dec trip.

I was playing around w/ some dates in Sept. and saw a cabin at FW for $132 and 1bdr villas at SSR for $144!!!

Glad I'm booked room only w/ Disney, so I can take advantage of any great deals if they come along for our time frame.

With these bookings, do you have to pay up front? That's the only thing I'd be worried about.

Thanks for the info..I thought you could, but wanted to be sure. Now crazy me is thinking that I might just book a surprise trip for my family with this Orbitz deal! We're saving for a land/sea trip next year, but with these rates, how can one say no? It's always been my husbands dream to stay at the Contemporary, Theme Park View, but we'd never be able to afford it. However, now, maybe we can!

They had great prices for my dates in September. Like the GF for $190, SSR $106, BC $122, CR $120 and the values for $45!. Plus if you use the promo code DEALPRO10 you get and extra 10% off! Better than the code Disney sent me!

Where do you put the DEALPRO10 promo code in, the one spot I saw wouldn't take that many characters?

Thanks

For the promotion code on Orbitz , pick your hotel by pressing the "select" button on the right. Then scroll down to the box that says "I have a promotion code" and enter it there. Then hit the button that says "apply and reprice". It probably wont show until you check out as a subtraction from your total.

That was the former place to put in promo codes NOW it's found on the Review and Book page...however, Orbitz is not recognizing the DEALPRO10 code anymore. :( They keep moving things around and changing the layout of the pages.

It appears Orbitz has taken Disney's 40% off deal prices and discounted them another 40% off. An error I would think....wonder how long before they catch it.:confused3

I think you're right. How long do you think they have to cancel it? I have to pay for my FD package by the beginning of July.

I was thinking the whole time, that this is some kind of error. If I had a trip planned for September, then it wouldn't matter. But if I bought airfare and then they told me it was an error, I'd be :furious: lol

I am not sure if you are referring to Orbitz or someone making a ressie?
But the ressie is room only, so the cancellation policy is the standard room only Disney policy,(5 days before arrival). Orbitz doesn't charge a cancellation/change fee. So no problem there.

I agree with you. If airfare wasn't so expensive, BOS-MCO, I would take the gamble. What ever happened to 49 each way on SWA. Right now its 154 each way MHT-MCO.

I mean if Orbitz doesn't cancel the ressie by 7/5, do you think I'm home free? I don't want to cancel my disney FD ressie to only have this one cancelled after. Any thoughts?

Woohoo! I just booked Poly for 8/15-8/24 for 1363! The 10% code just worked for me too so keep trying! Thanks again for sharing this AMAZING deal!

I see what you mean. I would hold on to FD as planned until 7/5, just in case. I do think that Orbitz will honor the ressies, unless it is picked up in the next few hours....Travelocity still shows a few of the pricing errors, $75 for POFQ and CBR, though all the other rates are the true 40%off deal.
I think you might be ok.

I got $49 once! :cool1:

I want to go so badly, but it would make more sense if I just wait until Jan '11. I don't know that I really need to go in July and September, but those rates!!!!! :rotfl:

The more I look at the SW site, it seems like it is real. When you click on the words "learn more" it gives dates. The lower percentages go from 6/21-8/15 and the high percentage savings go from 8/16-10/3. I just don't know how they could back out of it? Could it be that SW and Orbitiz just have too much inventory of rooms for Disney that they need to get rid of? I'm not sure how it works with those non-Disney sites?

Me too.:cool1:

I am right there with you. GF SL for under $200.00, I so want to book. Of course, I hear DH saying, yeah but think how much you would save by not going at all.:lmao:
We get home from California on 8/28, with a few days at DL and the Grand Californian, so I can't really think about another vacation.....but those rates!!!:rotfl2:

Ok, we'll just leave the husbands at home, and we'll go! :rotfl2: That will be a savings for them!!!!! :rotfl:

I'm feeling happy. Got a room at the GF - Lagoon View for $320 with tax. Thanks to the board for pointing out the great rate on Orbitz. I'm wondering if now that I've booked and paid if I should call and request a king bed room? It's my wife and I's anniversary so I'd really like to get a special room.

I'm wondering the same thing... We booked 3 nights at the Boardwalk Inn - standard view for $417. I'm traveling with a friend so we want two beds as well. I'd also like to put in a room location request if possible. I'm thinking that it has to be done through Orbitz. :confused3

Booked our ME last night as well! :thumbsup2

I called Orbtiz and was told I can call Disney directly with requests. Okay let me do that this afternoon and see this deal is real or if it is a website fluke.
