Great Rate: Now what...?

We decided to take advantage of the $29 rate and booked 2 rooms at the Courtyard in Downtown Disney for Dec. 22 - 26. Any tips on the facility, transporation, food options, etc?

We have reservations for the Hoop de Doo Review on the 24th and the Illuminations Cruise on the 25th. We will have our car with us.

I doubt we'll spend much time in the parks due to the crowds, so alternatives would be great.

Ask for a room that doesn't overlook the highway. Our rrom did & it was very noisey!!!

My parents and my DD spent 5 days at Fort Wilderness one December and never set foot in the parks. They loved touring all of the hotels and Downtown Disney to see the decorations. One of the hotels had a huge gingerbread house that my daughter loved.
