I noticed on the Universal Website that they have a Florida Resident rate of $79.50 for 2 nights at Hard Rock and park passes.

Since they've been extending those rates to other states (I'm in Sc). I decided to call and see if they would give it to me. They would have, only they didn't have any more rooms available at that rate. However, they told me to call room only reservations and ask for the 1/2 price tickets.

I did. They gave us (2) 2 days passes for 1/2 price. And our room is only $99 per night. They couldn't tell me if we could upgrade to the 3 day passes we wanted. If anyone finds that out, please let me know.

The first guy I talked to in packages said "If you saw they rate somewhere, we'll honor it".

Thought you guys might want to know if you're in one of the neighboring states.

You don't want that FL resident rate of $79.50 anyway...that is per person.

You're right. It is per person. But.....it's $79.50 per person and park passes.

So. it ends up being about $320 for a two night stay and two passes. Compare that to 2 nights stay at $99 and 2 day park passes at $ 95 plus. Totals up to close to $400. Sounds like a good deal to me, saving about $80. Please let me know if I'm missing something.

Thanks.

Jeff, what dates did you ask about...did it sound like they would give you that rate if you would of changed your dates?
TIA!

Yes, they were going to give me the dates at the rate. However, they didn't have any more rooms at that rate for my days. He tried to upgrade me to a bigger room. But, it was going to cost more than I was already going to pay.

Jeff, did you pay for the tickets over the phone right then or did they just add them to your reservations? When my DH called to make our reservation, the guy told him about the 1/2 price deal but it doesn't mention it on our reservations and we did not pay for it up front.

Hmmm...I don't think I asked all the right questions. She gave me the impression that it was added to our room reservation. However, she did not say that it was. I'm going to call today or tomorrow to reconfirm the reservation.

I'll find out when I call and try to post it.

I just got back from there and they told me about the ticket deal. You will need to go the front desk and they will sell you a 2 day park pass for a 1 day ticket price. I think the price is around $50.00.

I have room only reservations thru Loews for $129 per night...How can I get the rates you are getting for $99 per night what phone number did you call? I'm leaving soon, so I need an answer soon. Thanks!!
