Great price on XBOX One or Wii U?

We're contemplating one or the other for Christmas. Has anyone here seen great deals on either system?

DS9 loves Mario Kart so we are going with WiiU. I haven't seen a great deal yet. I hope the Walmart ad comes out soon.

XBox 360 is $179 at Target on BF.

we are looking for a deal on the wii u as well. Best price I've seen is in the Meijer black Friday ad...279, plus a 30 in store coupon. But if you don't have a Meijer, doesn't do you much good! Walmart has the bundle with Mario Kart, which is the one I am going to get, even if there isn't a deal on it. The cost of that game off sets the discount, as the other game in the Meijer bundle isn't of interest to my son.

I picked up WiiU last week with my 5% off Target pharmacy coupon. I was also able to use it on games. The associate told me that this week games are buy 2 get 1 free, so I"ll bring back my receipt for a price adjustment.

I've been watching for good prices on the XBOX One and the previously mentioned bundles are the best I've seen. I checked reviews for the different systems and they seem to all be about the same. We already have XBOX Live so it makes sense to just stick with that one.

I am on the hunt for a Wii U as well. Good to know that there is a Mario Kart bundle!

So far we are in with Target's deal on xbox one with Assassins creed download for 329 plus $50 gift card. We will also use red card for an extra 5%. I hope amazon matches so my DH does not have to go out on Thanksgiving night. I am also waiting for Walmart, I shopped online last year and did not have to brave the store.

I plead the 5th when it comes to knowledge about game systems, but DH tells me that the XBox One gets terrible reviews.

Is the Target Xbox One bundle on sale Thanksgiving Day or Friday? Will it be online and in stores?

Thanks!! :thumbsup2

Well, XBox one has itss issues, it got some bad press to start with, Microsoft didn't take the gamer's love of buying used games in to consideration...and there is something about the graphics not being as high as the PS4...

...but that said, the WiiU gets worse reviews due to even worse graphics and a lack of games.

I had a Wii, loved it at first, thought I was better than the Xbox 360 and PS3 people...but as more an more games passed the Wii by because of the weak processor and graphics, I finally switched to a 360...think my next one will be a PS4.

A key indicator was the Disney Infinity system...they made 1.0 for all systems, but the Wii had elements of the game removed due to the weak system...the 2.0 game isn't available for Wii, but is for 360 and PS3...while the WiiU is better than the Wii, it is not on par with the PS4 and XBoxOne in terms of processing power, it is a "generation" behind. There is a reason the price keeps dropping, they are trying to save the system.

I would personally warn anyone against the WiiU...it is flailing, trying to pull in other games, and not succeeding. I think buying one now is only for the people that must have the newer Mario games...that is the one series you can't play on other systems...and I've enjoyed the XBox Kinect more than the Wii controls for motion sensitive gaming.

That is my take on it, your mileage my vary.

Everywhere I've looked, they all get bad reviews and are rated about the same. They all seem to have issues when the systems are new. We had some trouble with the 360 at first but we've had the one we have now for quite a while and it still works fine. (Knock wood. ;) )

The Walmart Black Friday ad was released and they have a Xbox One (no Kinect version) with Halo Master Chef Collection for $329, and then it comes with a $30 gift card. It is part of the 1-Hour Guarantee on Thanksgiving night starting at 6PM.

You can get a manufacturer refurbished Wii U from Nintendo's site (comes with 1 year warranty) for $200. Everyone I know who has gotten one said it looked brand new.

Thanks............we were debating on the wii mini or a wii u. I didnt want to spend the money for the bundle. I realize the mini wii has some cons against it, such as not playing online with friends or getting netflix etc..........but we really just need it to play the disks.

Got something to think about now I guess! :)

Unless I am seriously mistaken, the mini plays the regular Wii games but not the Wii U games. They aren't really making new games for the regular Wii (with the exception of the recent Skylanders Trap Team).
