We're looking for some suggestions for good and filling breakfast places. We have DDE, so would prefer to be able to use them. We're 2 "semi-senior" adults and don't mind park-hopping and resort-hopping, even a couple of times a day, so having to use Disney transportation just adds to the "adventure". It's been a while since we did Kona, but unless it has changed, it'll be a definite pick this time. Please help with some others; we're staying almost two weeks. :)

We enjoy breakfast at Olivia's at OKW & Concourse Steakhouse.

Olivia's - love the breakfast potatoes
Concourse - I like egg's benedict & bagel's w/cream cheese & lox

I know Kona has alot of breakfast lovers due to Tonga toast, macadamia pancakes & big kahuna breakfast. We love dinner here but migh try b'fast. Also, we will be trying Fresh for the first time.

Kona Cafe at the Polynesian. Excellent choices and good food. I eat there each time; just gotta have my Tonga Toast! :stir:

We really enjoy breakfast at Spoodles on the Boardwalk. The french toast is wonderful!

Other great breakfast places are Boma, Kona and Grand Floridian Cafe. If a character meal would suit you, Cape May is very good.

WCC breakfast is good, just be ready for a lot of noise. We have enjoyed Kona and Olivia's. For a quick breakfast, the Fountain Bakery at Epcot is very good. You do have to stand in line for awhile at times.

You already are planning on our favorite, Kona Cafe.

We also enjoy Boatwrights and the Sand Trap. There is no WDW transportation to the latter but I think Uncleromulus posted that you can get a taxi voucher to go there just as they provide for golfers.

The Yacht Club Galley and Spoodles are both good. We have never tried GF Cafe for breakfast but love it for lunch and dinner. It is a very pretty restaurant as well.

Fresh and Boma are both very good but buffets. However since they're characterless they are more quiet.

How does one get this taxi voucher? And where is the Sand Trap located (we're non-golfers, so have no idea)? Thanks for the new idea! More "adventure"!

from "allearsnet.com"

The Fresh Mediterranean Market is set up with stations. As you visit each one, there is a list of available items.
The food is then made FRESH for you, to order.

Breakfast includes Fresh Juice and Starbucks Coffee!

Chef Ryan (a woman) is very sensitive to special dietary needs and can accomodate everyone. In fact, everything I named from Vegan to Gluten Free to Diabetic, she said, "No Problem", However, if you want me to be more creative call 24 hours in advance."

Adults $17.95; Children $10.95

From the Pantry - Preparation of all cold foods

Nectar Breakfast - Health conscious extracts from fresh vegetables and fruits

From the Casserole - hot foods in earthenware

Hot Cereals - hot breakfast cereals

Rotisserie - slow roasted meats

Eggs from the Skillet - omelettes and eggs made any style to order

Griddle Favorites - pancakes, waffles, and French Toast

Foods that were served during my recent visit included:

A Huge Pastry and Bread Table
Fresh Fruits
Cold Cereals
Milk - Regular and 2%
Red Bliss Breakfast Potatoes
Regular Bacon
Sausage
Traditional French Toast and Strawberry Cream Cheese French Toast
Traditional Pancakes, Peanut Butter and M&M Pancakes
Rotisserie - Ham and Turkey
Oatmeal and Grits

Another vote for Kona Cafe, Concourse Steakhouse, and Spoodles (in that order.)

so Spoodles is better than Yacht Galley for brkfst? How late can we make it and still do the buffet?

We always do breakfast @ Olivia's. We love the laid back atmosphere here. No ADRs needed.

Boatwright's at POR is our favorite and then Kona.

Olivia's would be our #1 favorite spot; we eat there every Sunday before returning home from a weekend trip. I've never been a big fan of grits, but their's are the BEST.

Spoodles is very good. Also can't beat the Boardwalk Bakery for a few delectable goodies. :thumbsup2

We did enjoy Cape May's breakfast offerings, but it is a character buffet.

Breakfastosaurus at AK is a great character breakfast if you're interested, although it gets a little busy.

1900 Park Fare is our least favorite character breakfast buffet so far; the food was not that good to us. :sad2:

We are huge fans of Boma for dinner, but just weren't that impressed with their breakfast buffet.

We ate at the Concourse restaurant at the Contemporary because we could not get into Chef Mickeys...what a mistake...the fruit was not ripe and had no taste, the bacon was burnt but still had raw fat on the end...the eggs were over cooked...the potatoes were horrible.

I would skip that and head to Kona's instead
