Well, I just listed my contract for sale thru TTS 2 weeks ago. I got an offer thru TTS yesterday, and we countered, and the buyers accepted. I can't believe it, given that my contract was on the larger side and given the economy right now. The only thing I wished is that I also listed my contract thru another broker a couple of days ago (because their open agreements, you are allowed to do this), and if I found a buyer thru them, I would have saved a few points in commission! Oh well, I am extremely grateful. OUr plan is to wait until the fall and, if things are good financially, add on at BLT(We already have one contract at BLT that we just bought). Are we allowed to give details as to how much we sold for, points in contract, etc? Or, is this not allowed?

Sure you can go ahead and the list details if you like. I have moved this over to Mousellaneous where we have these types of postings. Thanks!

Okay,
so we listed our contract for sale at $85 per point, it is 300 points at AKV Jambo with Oct UY- 58 '08 points left, 135 '09 points left, all 2010 points. The buyers offered $80 per point and paying all closing costs. WE countered at $83. Buyers countered again at $82, but we held at the $83 and the buyers agreed to the $83. We are thrilled! Hopefully everything goes thru smoothly! :cheer2: And, I am really looking forward to adding on at BLT in the fall, if finances permit!

Regarding the commission, well my feeling is that it is somewhat of a "finder's fee" since they find and bring financially qualified buyers to the table. You never know what you would get on Ebay...

Also, there would be some costs involved in selling it on your own anyway such as recording the deed, titling etc. There is a savings of course, but I think you took the wise move.

by the way........WELCOME HOME!!

Thanks! I think we made the best decision also, you never know, this may have been our one and only offer in these economic times. You just can't tell. Like I said, I am very grateful. And, after the closing, I have to update my signature thingy, I need to put BLT on there, since we just added on there a month ago. That's why we sold AKV, because we really really want all our points at BLT.

Thanks!

We just added 2 contracts at AKV, a 60 and a 50. We were going to go through resale, but with th closing costs, it would have been about the same price. I wanted to know abut the resale because we might sell off the 50 in a couple years.

We wanted points NOW, and didn't have time to wait for ROFR due to an upcoming trip and being short on our SSR points. If we had the time, we definatly would have gone for the cheaper resale route. TSS was very helpful even though we didn't buy from them in the end.
