DS (kid who broke his arm at camp) finally got to speak with his football coach and tell him about the broken arm. The coach said that DS can stay on the team, pick up his uniform with the other players, but not suit up or do anything until the doc ok's it.
DS was so worried that the school rule might be if you break a bone you are done for the season. Turns out it's not the rule.
And the doctor already told him to expect another 5 weeks in a cast then 2 weeks taking it easy....then he can play. That will be only 2 weeks into the school year.
I'm so happy for him. His passion is football and this year is a huge deal for him.......the junior high team!
Here's a pic of him toughing it out. Let's see....there's a computer with cable internet to his left, a cable tv with remote at the foot of his bed, and a huge snuggly dog.
Yea....rough life huh?
