Although I haven't been to WDW in about 8 years, I am a long time park fan and I'm familiar with most of what's there. My BF, on the other hand, has only been to DL a few times and has never been to WDW. He hasn't been on very many vacations either, since his family didn't travel much.
I'm trying to plan special things that he'll enjoy. I think there are probably lots of things at WDW that are really exciting and cool if you have never seen them before. I'll never forget my jaw dropping the first time I saw the Swan and Dolphin.
But I know so much about the parks that I probably don't notice many things anymore!
Here are the things I have "secretly" planned (i.e. things that I plan to do that I haven't even hinted to him about):
Eat breakfast our first day at the CR so he can see the monorails come in and out, then ride the monorail to MK.
Eat dinner at Cindy's (my first time there too).
Visit the Sci Fi Dine In (he's a big fan of 1950's movies and old sci fi).
Is there anything else that old-timers might tend to skip that someone would really enjoy his first time at WDW? For those of you who took a 30-something man to WDW for the first time--what things did he really get a kick out of that may have surprised you?
Thanks!
