Great Grocery Delivery Service

we just came back from our last trip. Our first trip, we used the grocery stop included with our limo service. Our second trip we rented a car and stopped to shop. However, this trip we discovered (through this board) a grocery shop and delivery service that was excellent. Its www.wegoshop.com. You just email them a list of grocery items you want and they shop and deliver right to your hotel room. Their price was $15 for orders under $100, then I believe its $20 for orders between $100 and $200. We ordered bottled water (a must with the terrible water there), milk, various convenience foods, and even personal care products like diapers, etc. Its the best method yet and sure beats lugging all that stuff or spending precious vacation time shopping for them. The guy we dealt with, Eric, was very nice and professional. We called him when we got our room number and he was there within about 20 minutes with everything. Believe me, this is the only way to shop for your room stuff.

I THIS TIP!! THANKS!!! We will be using them in April. This was an easy decision: $15 to ship a box of supplies down, with me getting the goods, packing it and lugging it to the PO/UPS place (probably 30 miles away in the big city) OR $15 for someone else to do all that and deliver it to me. Hmmm...like I said, not too hard to decide on that one. Now, the hard decisions like which park to go to first....

What store do you have them shop from?

Do they deliver to your room or the front desk?

How early do they deliver?

I read on their website that they will buy beer wine, and tobacco, but they will card you when they deliver (at this point in my life, that would be an honor).

Anyway, I plan on using them. How specific can you be with your orders. For instance my kids love cereal bars, but only the General mills ones, not the Kelloggs ones. On stuff like that, should I still pack?

This is SOOOO Great. I hate schleping groceries through check-in!!!

I have used them and plan to use them again. I believe that they will stop at any store you request (within reason) and they will do specific namebrands. They ask when you specify one if you will accept a similar item if it is not available or not.

We found them to be a great service! Don't know how they do it for that price! And of course, don't forget to figure the tip into your cost... we forgot about that until they were there, and were scrambling to figure it.

They go to any grocery store you want.

The local stores are Publix, Albertsons, Winn Dixie, Super Target and Super Wal-mart.

I've always had my towncar driver stop at Publix. Fairly decent prices. Their store brand water is good too.

I might have to try this. The last two times I rented a car. This would be cheaper and I don't wast time :cool

How late will the deliver? Super Wal-Mart is open 24 hrs and I usually go after we're down with the park for the day.

One more question -- what do you do with the food if you arrange for delivery and your room isn't ready yet?

This definitely sounds like a great idea. I can't wait for the strange looks when I go to my local ShopRite making detailed listings of the food I want to order!

a week. However, should you need a time outside of those hours, let us know
and we may be able to make arrangements for a special delivery. Unless a
special arrangement is made, we always deliver to you in your room. Our fee
schedule is as follows:

Grocery total up to $100.00 = $15.00 shop & delivery fee.
Grocery total between $100.00 - $200.00 = $20.00 shop & delivery fee.
Grocery total between $200.00 - $300.00 = $30.00 shop & delivery fee.
Grocery total over $300.00 = 12% of total grocery bill.

Does anybody know what the delivery fee is?

I looked on their website, it said that each local office determines the delivery fee.

By the time that you would add a tip in, it would seem almost cheaper to rent a car for a day.
