Thought, I share travelling from Calgary to Orlando. Expedia flights through United, $325 including taxes! Cheaper to fly from Wed, thrus, and come back on Monday, or after....This is for Mar 5-16...Crazy return flight by going home through LA and San Fran... That's where I save money, but not time!

That is a good price.
Here is the problem with travelling with United. They cannot get from A to B and from B back to A without losing your luggage.

If you really want the deal here is what you do. Everyone in your party packs the 20 inch carry on that meets the United guidelines to carry on the plane. The second they call for loading you get in that line. The second you find your row put your suitcase in the overhead and save a spot for the rest of your travelling party in the overhead.

If you do not get your carry on in the overhead before it fills they will tag it and charge you the regular luggage costs. Not only will it get lost but you have to pay for them to carry it under the plane and lose it anyways.

If you keep your suitcase with you it all times United cannot lose it. I will 100% guarantee you your luggage will be lost on a connecting flight. United will then attempt to charge you 75.00US to deliver it to your hotel.

The next problem that comes with travelling United is the flight changes. Our flights were changed five times before we departed and we were not once notified by United of the changes. You have to check your flights weekly until you leave. If you are willing to put up with United's issues you get a great no frills flight price.

Actually, I've never had a problem with United but WestJet lost my bag last year flying YYZ-YEG. They weren't all that nice about it as I recall either. My sister will never fly Delta because they stranded her in SLC.

Everyone has a story but at the end of the day airlines are what they are. When it works, it works, when it doesn't it's painful. I guess all we can do is be prepared the best we can and relax even if it annoys us.

When flying from AB to MCO never, never, connect in Chicago. In the winter it can be a traffic/weather nightmare. Denver is much better.:thumbsup2

I agree. They are an awful carrier as far as I'm concerned.
