Great first trip home!!!

Just back from our first trip home to OKW. Although my 2 year old was a bit grumpy it was a great great trip. We were in room 1434 a 1 BR on the third floor (got my exercise!!)

We checked about 8:00 am and OUR ROOM WAS READY!! We actually got in our room by 8:30. It was wonderful. My parents checked in the next day and got their room at 7:15 am. It was awesome. I was so excited.

The only problem we had was the first night the a/c froze up. My husband asked for different sleeping arrangements and they gave us another 1 BR for the night on the first floor of the same building. It was fixed by the morning.

The room was great, clean everything was just perfect. We got many, many welcome homes. It was so nice to hear. Had dinner at the WL and we decided that will definately be our next place to stay. I bet it is just gorgeous at Christmas.

The crowds were so minimal we rode all the kiddie rides in Fantasyland about 5 times each by 2 pm on Thursday. Ok, I could ramble on forever but just wanted to let y'all know how pumped I was!! So glad to be a DVC member!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So glad you enjoyed your first trip home.
They do those Welcome Homes at OKW great.
I to noticed the crowds were way down on Wed. last week.
Kind of scary. But I guess September, all the children start back to school so it is probably normal.
Our next trip is VWL. Can't wait. Something about that lodge makes you feel so nostalgic. I love the old pictures on the walls.

DVC is radical.

Thanks for posting your report! Sounds like a great trip...and yes, VWL is a wonderful spot too!

As for the Grumpy 2 year old....well, hopefully that will change on the next trip!

Glad to hear you had a nice trip...I wish ours wasn't so far away! I was wondering what the crowds were like in Sept. ...maybe we will try going one year in Sept. before DS is of school age.

We might be heading down to Savannah in December for a wedding and may have a chance to stay for a few days at Hilton Head if we do. Definitely something to look foward to!
