We celebrated my grandson's first birthday today at Hollywood & Vine at the Studios. I was a little hesitant after reading mixed reviews about this restaurant, but we couldn't get Chef Mickeys reservations for today. But was I mistaken. The restaurant was nice, not too long of a wait before we were seated and then the fun began. We had 9 adults and 2 children both a year old. Handy Manny, Oso and 2 other characters from the Little Einsteins circulated often and paid attention to all of the families. A live singer led some dances several times while we were there and all the birthday children got birthday cupcakes and birthday cards signed by these characters.
The food was delicious and plentiful. I did my usual of taking small bits of things that looked interesting and then going back for more if I wanted it. There were several different forms of chicken, lots of salads, some lovely looking salmon, breads, potatoes, spoonbread and at a smaller set up at kids height, there was chicken nuggets, macaroni and cheese, broccoli they would enjoy. All in all a great meal - a little on the expensive side, but it all was great.
