Great find at Homegoods today ...

I found a cute budget gift at Homegoods today.

A plastic 48 ounce measuring pitcher (with a lid) which also has a four-piece measuring cup set and a four-piece measuring spoon set inside. The lid and cups/spoons are color coordinated. (It comes in blue, green, red and yellow).

Price - $4.99.

It would make a great hostess gift, or a great gift for somebody who just moved and needs to fill a kitchen. I bought the green for myself and picked up three more to put away for gifts.

LOL. I've seen those at Home Goods. The reason I said LOL, is that I got that exact set (except in yellow) in 1981 as a wedding gift and I still have it. The only thing I don't use anymore is the pitcher and that's because my DH used it for something to do with car so I can't use it for food anymore. But, I use those measuring cups all the time, although one has a crack in it which isn't an issue for dry measuring anyway.

I have that same pitcher & measuring cups - from about 1987 when I got my first apartment! That is a good deal / gift though. I warped the pitcher in the d/washer once though -top rack, I think.

OP.....which home goods did you go to? I am also on Long Island, but out on the east end....might try to hit the Riverhead store tomorrow! Thanks! I actually really need measuring cups and spoons for my holiday baking!

Oh they have all sorts of home goods at reasonable prices. Seasonal and year round decor, some furniture, kitchen and bath linens and decor, dishes, cookware, kitchen tools etc. I could go on and on.

It's basically a giant TJ Maxx without the shoes, handbags, jewelry and clothing!
