I love my Nook...I have a simpletouch and dh bought me the HD for Christmas. Although I use it almost exclusively as an e-reader, I do have all the google stuff on it now. And the Kindle app. Sometimes I use Nook books, sometimes Kindle.
I've found a couple of sites for free/cheap books: cuckooforcoupons.com has a few each day, cheap e-Reads on facebook. And many, if not most, public libraries let you borrow ebooks--love that, I can just do it all from home.
